Is Taking a Knee Really Showing Disrespect to the Troops?

The latest mania sweeping liberal America is this “taking a knee” nonsense at everything from NFL games to Pee Wee football. Ostensibly performed as a sign of protest regarding racist (white) cops gunning down black males on a regular basis.

However, as the New York Post recently reported, the truth is far for the narrative perpetuated by the likes of Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter;

Who is killing these black victims? Not whites, and not the police, but other blacks.

In 2016, the police fatally shot 233 blacks, the vast majority armed and dangerous, according to the Washington Post. The paper categorized only 16 black male victims of police shootings as “unarmed.” That classification masks assaults against officers and violent resistance to arrest.

Contrary to the Black Lives Matter narrative, the police have much more to fear from black males than black males have to fear from the police. In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male was to be killed by a police officer.

Black males have made up 42 percent of all cop-killers over the last decade, though they are only 6 percent of the population. That 18.5 ratio undoubtedly worsened in 2016, in light of the 53 percent increase in gun murders of officers — committed vastly and disproportionately by black males.

But now that the light of truth has been shone on the liars on the left, let’s get back to the topic at hand.

As I recently covered, Jesse Benn (a proud Communist) from the reliably America-hating Huffington Post, opined that white NFL players who stood for the Star Spangled Banner are actually standing in defense of white supremacy.

Or as Benn so eruditely notes;

We’ve all heard the typical argument against kneeling. “Kneeling during the anthem disrespects the flag and the soldiers who fought for your right to protest and blah blah blah patriotism!”

Now, I’m not going to spend much time with the most obvious counter, but it’s worth stating. In the fairytale we Americans tell ourselves where soldiers fight wars for freedom and not imperial conquests, the story says they’re fighting for someone’s right to protest, not the opposite. So using the troops as a cudgel against protest wholly misunderstands even our own national fairytale.

Obviously this yutz, along with Kaepernick, BLM and the entire Democratic Party never bothered to ever listen to the National Anthem.

Imagine being a young American soldier stationed at Baltimore Harbor’s Ft. McHenry during the Second War of American Independence (aka: The War of 1812). You and your fellow soldiers have been shelled all night by eight of the massive bombardment ships of the Royal Navy.

Rockets red glare, bombs bursting in air, all the heroic words. Of course, minus the madness of knowing that you could be ripped to shreds at any moment in a very painful and agonizing death that was rarely instantaneous.

Every time one of the Royal Navy’s Congreve rockets exploded, the American soldiers, sailors, Marines, militiamen, citizens and slaves of Baltimore (yes, slaves willingly helped erect and fortify the defenses) who spent the night erecting ramparts to the east of the city to fight off the impending British land invasion, well… with every flash of light they looked to Ft McHenry to see if the Stars and Stripes were still flying over the fort.

As dawn broke, Francis Scott Key, Esq., the people of Baltimore, the American troops both in the fort and in Baltimore, and all of those in His Majesty’s Service saw that it wasn’t the British Union Jack, but the flag of the United States of America that was snapping in the wind.

With that bit of reality done with, please read the words carefully while you follow along with the Marine Band;

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bomb bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Huffington Post: White NFL Players Who Stand for Anthem ‘Stand for White Supremacy’

The Huffington Post op-ed writer who touts himself as Dad, partner, engaged citizen, opinionated writer, leftist, PhD student, can add another add another descriptive title to his pedigree: Dumb-ass.

As Jesse Benn of the decidedly hard leftist Huffington Post recently opined;

The absence of white athletes kneeling for the anthem Sunday was a particularly illustrative moment in white privilege.

See, for white athletes the anthem and American flag do represent freedom, liberty and whatever other amorphous American values one might ascribe these symbols. So, from their view, kneeling would be disrespectful to the privileges a white supremacist nation affords them.

Notice the very first word in the second paragraph? “See”.

Ever the pencil-necked liberal, Benn made a point of:

  1. Looking down his nose at us simpletons to explain to us why any given player of the Caucasian persuasion who has the bad manners to actually stand for the Star Spangled Banner and place his hand over his heart is actually a closeted cross burner.
  2. In a largely wasted effort, Benn takes a stab at proving how much smarter he is than the rest of us.

Ahh… but then comes the height of Leftist arrogance (emphasis mine);

We’ve all heard the typical argument against kneeling. “Kneeling during the anthem disrespects the flag and the soldiers who fought for your right to protest and blah blah blah patriotism!

So, that’s obvious enough, but what I’m talking about is this. If white athletes can’t fathom kneeling because they feel soldiers fought for their rights and blah blah blah patriotism, it’s because they are treated as full citizens and afforded those rights they imagine soldiers fought for.

Initially, did anyone notice any uniformed goons dragging Benn out of his undoubtedly comfortable bed in the middle of the night to lock him up in some far off American gulag?

Neither did I.

Secondly, why didn’t someone tell me that I, like my father before me, am nothing more than a baby killer? I don’t remember killing any babies, neither did my father.

Ach… silly me. Benn’s smarter than the rest of of. (*Slapping forehead* What was I thinking!?)

But if the name Jesse Benn rings a bell, it should. He’s the guy with a history of calling for organized violence aimed at those who disagree with him.

As reported last June by the Washington Free Beacon;

HuffPost writer Jesse Benn tweeted Wednesday that violent resistance must be organized to work.

Benn wrote that violent resistance needed to be organized and that individual acts of resistance were “counterproductive/ineffective,” but still understandable.

This is not the first time Benn has advocated for violence. Benn wrote a June 2016 article titled, “Sorry Liberals, a Violent Response to Trump Is as Logical as Any.” In the article, Benn said there was value in violently resisting the “normalizing” of then-candidate Donald Trump.

“In the face of media, politicians, and GOP primary voters normalizing Trump as a presidential candidate—whatever your personal beliefs regarding violent resistance—there’s an inherent value in forestalling Trump’s normalization,” Benn wrote. “Violent resistance accomplishes this.”

Speaking of Benn’s Twitter account, how do you like the last symbol at the end of his bio?

Raising a rebel. Married to #1 mom. Sporadic writer. Member of the Tribe. PhD student. No war but class war. Eat the rich. ☭

Here’s also an example of Benn’s alleged sense of humor (notice the hammer and sickle dead-center of the cartoon);

And if by chance you’re on the fence regarding Comrade Benn, this is what he tweeted in the wake of the assassination attempt on Congressman Steve Scalise;

What a charmer.

NFL v. CFL: Dissecting Clueless Multi-Multi-Millionaires

Qu'est-ce que ce fils de pute a dit?
Qu’est-ce que ce fils de pute a dit?

We all know that many, and I mean MANY, members of the NFL are among this nation’s über-rich. Along that train of thought, many, and I mean MANY, members of the NFL have become quite enamoured with “taking a knee” during the playing of our National Anthem, while a number of other players think themselves the modern-day Rosa Parks based on nothing more than raising the clenched-fist black power salute.

Remember the old says when you had to actually do something to be considered a civil rights incon?

Anyhow, just to keep things in perspective regarding those poor, suffering footballers, let’s do a side-by-side comparison between the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.

Wait. Let’s kick it up a notch. How about we instead do a side-by-side-by-side comparison between the National Football League, the NFL practice squads (also known as: The Practice Dummies), and then finally the pros from The Great White North.

Minimum salary:

  • National Football League – $465,000
  • NFL practice squads – $7,200 per week (During a 17-week schedule: Sixteen game plus one bye week equals $122,400 for 17 weeks of work.)
  • Canadian Football League – $53,000 (But in all fairness, that’s in Canadian dollars. So I’m not sure if that’s equal to a butt-load of money or more like a buck fiddy.)

What the hell… the world was suppose to end and nobody told me? Pretty devastating, especially for someone with low self-esteem like me.

But my personal insecurities notwithstanding, did you know the world was suppose to end this past week-end?

I know, I know. Nuclear war with North Korea; spoiled multi-millionaire football players bitching about how horrible life in America is; Hillary’s still drunk and wandering through the woods, blah, blah, blah, wonk, wonk, wonk.

Important as the above listed topics/calamities are, they pale in comparison to planet Earth playing stellar bumper cars with Planet X or Planet Scooby-Doo or whatever the hell it’s called.

As reported by News Corp Australia;

THE world didn’t come to an end this weekend despite a prophecy that heralded the arrival of Doomsday. But we’re not out of the woods yet.

Conspiracy theorist David Meade prophesied a mysterious “Planet X” — also known as Planet Nibiru — with no gravity would crash into the Earth on September 23, ending life as we know it.
But as the date drew near, the Christian numerologist got cold feet and said the prediction was misunderstood.

Based on verses and numerical codes in the Bible, he’s now claiming Doomsday will arrive on October 21.
The day before he foretold the apocalyptic prophecy, Meade said he expects “nothing to happen in September”, according to The Washington Post.

Instead, he claimed the Book of Revelation will manifest that day, leading to a series of catastrophic events that will happen over the course of weeks.

“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he told The Post, adding: “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”
Meade told Fox 13 Salt Lake City that “seven years” of war and disaster will begin on October 21.

Space agency NASA has dismissed the Planet X theory as a hoax.

“Various people are ‘predicting’ that (the) world will end Sept. 23 when another planet collides with Earth,” NASA said. “The planet in question, Niburu, doesn’t exist, so there will be no collision.”

NASA also stated the “story of Niburu has been around for years, as has the ‘days of darkness’ tale and is periodically recycled into new apocalyptic fables.”

Gen Kelly fires back at Democrat Luis ‘Kelly is a Disgrace to the Uniform’ Gutierrez

John Kelly has been many things in his life; a Marine Corps officer, the Secretary of Homeland Security, Chief-of-Staff for the President of the United States, just to name a few.

But what most Americans don’t know about about General Kelly and his wife, Karen, is that they are both Gold Star parents. They lost their son, 1st Lt. Robert Michael Kelly, USMC, who was killed in combat operations in Afghanistan.

Nonetheless, a certain pip squeak of a politician has taken it upon himself to publicly insult Kelly, as reported by Fox News;

In a statement last Tuesday, [Rep. Luis] Gutierrez said Kelly “has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders.’”

Never serving as much as even a reservist’s weekend duty, the congressman representing the 4th Congressional District, nicknamed “Chiraq” due to the death and destruction that normally follows Democrats in charge, Gutierrez is ostensibly lashing out at President Trump’s adherence to the Constitution in regards to giving Congress a six-month time frame to legislate a solution to Barack Obama’s temporary immigration fix popularly known as DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

Predictably, Gutierrez offered up zero proof of Kelly being a supposed “white supremacist.” On the contrary, common sense dictates that during Kelly’s 42-years of military service, he regularly entrusted his very life to fellow Marines of every race, creed, color and religion.

But being a man of honor, Kelly has responded to Gutierrez’s slanderous and factless tirade;

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired back at a prominent House Democrat who called him a “disgrace to the uniform,” in the Gold Star father and retired Marine Corps general’s first public response to the personal attack on his service.

Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez had leveled the criticism at Kelly over his support of President Trump’s decision to end a controversial program that shielded young illegal immigrants from deportation.

In an email to Fox News late Sunday, Kelly responded by saying Congress did “nothing” to help so-called Dreamers when they had the chance.

“As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want as they do nothing and have almost no responsibility,” Kelly said. “They can call people liars but it would be inappropriate for me to say the same thing back at them. As my blessed mother used to say ‘empty barrels make the most noise.’”

He concluded, “The congressman has a right to his opinion.”

Proving that his comrade in arms, Gen. James “Chaos” Mattis isn’t the only quotable person in the Trump Administration, Trump’s C-o-S made headlines during the historic assault on Baghdad when he informed a nervous Los Angeles Times reporter who thought the heavily outnumbered Marines just may face defeat when they launched their offensive against the heavily defended Iraqi capital city;

“Hell these are Marines. Men like them held Guadalcanal and took Iwo Jima. Baghdad ain’t sh*t.”

No Evidence or Police Report: Maxine Waters Claims Conservatives ‘Want to Kill Me’

“Gasoline” Maxine in the attack mode.

Without offering up anything as proof, evidence, or even a police report, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) accused the Breitbart.com news service, among many others, of wanting to kill the Los Angeles Democrat.

As reported by Pam Key of Breitbart;

Wednesday at a House Financial Services Committee hearing on lone-wolf and small-scale terrorist attacks, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) lumped Breitbart News in with white nationalists and other people who she claimed were seeking her demise.

Waters said, “I’m worried about these domestic attacks. As a matter of fact, I was forced to focus on it a little bit yesterday when in my office in Los Angeles one of the people opening the mail opened an envelope, and a bunch of powder fell out with a note about me dying and killing Hillary Clinton and on and on and on. This is getting more frequent, and I know that we have privacy concerns and information sharing and all that.”

She continued, “But I’m wondering what can we do to get a handle, a fix on these lone killers, and not simply just say we throw our hands up and we can’t really do anything because of privacy concerns. And I’m wondering particularly in our finical institutes and banks if questionnaires that do not invade privacy but simply ask questions about what the intentions are for the uses of certain money under certain circumstances. And these people can say whatever they want to, and they can respond in whatever way they want to, but if resources are used to go and commit killings they will have lied on the questionnaire and perhaps that can trigger some kind of actions to begin to prevent this kind of domestic terrorism.”

She added, “I think we should focus on domestic terrorism also. So I would like to ask again, given all that you have said about how difficult it is and about privacy concerns, do you have any thoughts about what can we do to begin to deal with the KKK, the white nationalists, the extremists, the alt-right? They’re on the Internet; they’re Breitbart. If you look at the YouTube, you see how much they want to kill me and others. What can we do?”
