Leave it to CNN. Only the folks over at the Clinton News Network could actually say with a straight face that the truth is a bad thing.
As reported by The Daily Caller’s Amber Athey, the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends” cited a recent Rasmussen Reports poll citing that President Trump’s approval rating is within the margin of error (+/- 2.5%) as compared to the same point of the initial Obama term.
As the president responded to the news;
While the Fake News loves to talk about my so-called low approval rating, @foxandfriends just showed that my rating on Dec. 28, 2017, was approximately the same as President Obama on Dec. 28, 2009, which was 47%…and this despite massive negative Trump coverage & Russia hoax!
CNN, always focused on the most important stories of the day, had a meltdown when a white box truck blocked them from filming President Donald Trump on the golf course.
On Tuesday, a CNN reporter peeked through the bushes in order to videotape Trump golfing in Palm Beach, Florida. The shot was awkward — and arguably a bit creepy — but CNN bragged about the exclusive shot they got of the president.
Unsatisfied with just one day of footage, CNN went back to their spot on Wednesday, only to discover it had been blocked off by a white box truck. CNN repeatedly complained about the truck blocking their view on Twitter and on air, whining that they were on public property and suggesting they had a right to film the president on his own golf course.
The Secret Service and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office both denied responsibility for the truck, causing CNN to launch into full-on conspiracy theory mode.
“Today this truck showed up out of nowhere and actually moved at one point when our journalists tried to get a different angle,” CNN’s Ryan Nobles cried. “It’s clear no one wanted us to get a picture of the president golfing.”
The Secret Service responded to CNN’s inquiries about the truck with an appropriate level of snark, stating, “The USSS is in the business of protection and investigations not in commissioning vehicles to block the media’s view of the president’s golf swing.”
In a rather historic move, the Trump Administration has announced that the annual US contribution to the United Nations will be cut by roughly 25 percent, as reported by the New York Post;
UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced Sunday that the United States negotiated a $285 million cut in the United Nations’ “bloated” budget for next year.
“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known,” Haley said in a statement from the US Mission. “We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked.”
Haley added that the “historic reduction” in spending is a step in the right direction and that the US would make many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable UN.
“In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key US priorities throughout the world and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system,” the statement said.
The new deal for the 2018-2019 fiscal year is $285 million less than the world body’s staggering $5.4 billion budget for fiscal year 2016-2017.
The United States is responsible for 22 percent of the United Nations operating budget, the largest contribution. It paid about $1.2 billion of the 2016-2017 budget of $5.4 billion.
Possibly without even realizing how much they’ve warmed the hearts of Trump supporters, The Times also noted that in the wake of every member nation assigned to the United Nations Security Council voting against the Trump decision to relocate our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, the POTUS was quoted;
Mr. Trump dared the General Assembly to follow the Security Council’s example. “Let them vote against us,” he said. “We will save a lot.”
What was your first clue… the word “free” or “give-away”?
In a city that’s been on the Democrat Plantation for well over a half century (the last Republican mayor was in 1962), Detroit has gone from being an industrial powerhouse of nearly 2 million people to a 4th World dung heap that’s seen the population drop by 60 percent.
Small wonder that when any given populous is use to free stuff, and it fails to materialize, things turn violent.
Large crowds, fights and a woman arrested for pulling a knife — none are normally synonymous with a toy giveaway.
But Saturday on Detroit’s west side, hundreds, if not thousands, gathered for free Christmas toys.
Police had to be called in because, at times, the crowds were unruly.
“People were fighting over toys, so they shut the door,” one person said.
It was likely a first for any kind of toy giveaway, crowds so large Detroit police had to step in, and those trying to get toys, at times, getting out of control.
Saturday night’s toy giveaway is part of a program called Toys Making I.M.P.A.C.T.S. For months, those in need could register for free toys for their children, and when the doors opened at Tower Center Mall on Grand River Avenue at 4 p.m., close to 6,000 children were signed up.
The Norwegian Home Guard base near Trondheim that houses the Marine rotational force was the first stop on Gen. Robert Neller’s annual Christmas tour.
The stop was a new one for the tour. The first Norway rotation, from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, deployed in January and was replaced by a new unit from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines, in late August.
Neller emphasized to the Marines that they should remain ready to fight at all times, predicting a “big-ass fight” on the horizon.
“I hope I’m wrong, but there’s a war coming,” Neller said. ” … You’re in a fight here, an informational fight, a political fight, by your presence.”
Neller later told the Marines that he expects the Pacific and Russia to be the service’s operational points of focus as the nation looks beyond the fights in the Middle East that have stretched into the better part of two decades.
The United States’ position that Russia presents a major threat was re-emphasized in the new National Security Strategy released Monday. The document discusses Russia’s practice of “using information tools” to interfere with other nations’ democracies and militant aggression that crosses borders.
“With its invasions of Georgia and Ukraine, Russia demonstrates its willingness to violate the sovereignty of states in the region,” the strategy states.
Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Ronald Green put the Marines’ role starkly.
“Just remember why you’re here,” he said. “They’re watching. Just like you watch them, they watch you. We’ve got 300 Marines up here; we could go from 300 to 3,000 overnight. We could raise the bar.”
At least that’s what CNBC’s David Faber and Jim Cramer have alluded to on in the air.
With almost no coverage by the Establishment Media, it was only Rush Limbaugh who caught who caught the provocative back-and-forth between Cramer and Faber in the mere hours following the final congressional vote.
FABER: It’s a good thing. Do you think there’s a coordinated effort, that there was some sort of conversation between some of these companies or some sort of coordinating body that said this is something that might be a good thing for you to consider doing? I don’t know. Just curious that — I don’t think anybody was anticipating it until we saw the announcement from AT&T, and then it was so quickly followed by Wells and Fifth Third, our parent company, but obviously there’s so many others that could be doing the same thing.
CRAMER: If it was coordinated then there should —
FABER: A lot more, right?
CRAMER: — have been a lot more than six companies.
Keep in mind, at the moment of the Faber-Cramer on-air comments, only six companies had announced they would pass on the benefits of the new legislation on to their employees. Since the CNBC airing, dozens of more companies are jumping on the tax cut bandwagon.
AT&T Inc. and Comcast Corp. said they would pay a $1,000 bonus to most of their U.S. workers, more than 300,000 people combined. The president signed the tax legislation on Friday.
Other banks have also announced pay increases since the tax bill passed Congress. Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC), PNC Financial Services Group Inc., BB&T Corp. and Fifth Third Bancorp said they would raise their minimum wage to $15 an hour. Bank of America already pays its employees that minimum wage. Some of those banks are also paying certain employees a one-time bonus similar to Bank of America’s.
In an “emergency meeting” the General Assembly of the United Nations voted overwhelmingly to condemn the American decision to relocate the US embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
Never mind that it’s none of the UN’s business where the United States places any of its embassies
Never mind that the United States gives far more to the UN’s coffers than any other member nation
Never mind that not a single one of our NATO alleged “allies” voted with us
Never mind that Israel captured East Jerusalem after they were attacked by a Arab-Muslim nation
With the obvious exception of the United States voting against its own condemnation, the remaining eight nations voting against the resolution have a combined square mile area roughly the size of North and South Carolina combined.
But then again, most UN member states would face an uphill battle to qualify for an American area code.
One hundred and twenty eight countries voted in favor condemning the United States
Nine countries voted against
Thirty five abstained
Twenty one nations didn’t even bother to show up for the vote
Yet in a strange sort of way, the abstaining and absent nations very well may have been paying attention to Amb. Haley’s promise that the United States would remember who voted to condemn their sugar daddy.
128 countries voted in favor of the resolution rejecting President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, 9 voted against, 35 abstained.
Does it make me a bad person for laughing everytime a riot baton came down with a thud on any given Leftie rioter?
No, I didn’t think so either.
Anyhow, the comrades over at the Putin-friendly RT.com caught on video Italian cops going full BTFO on a mob of communists and anarchists hell-bent on doing what communists and anarchists do best.
Using the Leftist code word of “anti-fascists” to describe rioters, RT.com predictably fell back on the reliable MSM tactic of referring to anyone who so happens to disagree with them as “right-wing groups”.
As reported by a rather sorrowful RT.com from the Italian city of Modena;
The incident took place on Friday evening. A local far-right group called ‘Defend Modena’ organized a rally in the center of the town to protest against the Jus soli – or the right of the soil – a legal principle that allows anyone born on the territory of a state to obtain its citizenship. Italy currently does not use this principle in granting citizenship but local lawmakers in Modena have discussed the possibility of its introduction.
Footage provided by the Ruptly video new agency shows the anti-fascists throwing what look like thunder-flashes, firecrackers and smoke pellets at the police with the officers in riot gear subsequently charging into the crowd. The video also shows officers beating people lying on the street with batons and attempting to detain some of the protesters by force.
According to local media, police also used water cannon to disperse the crowd. The protesters also reportedly engaged in clashes and scuffles with police on several occasions. However, there were no reports of any serious injuries, although local media said that some people were “bruised” in the brawls and at least two people were arrested.
Islam sure does make a big noise in regards to their (often violent) opposition to the homosexual lifestyle.
But the seemingly never-ending threat Muslim men seem to have in sticking to their heterosexuality smacks of being, well… rather queer.
In spite of my reservations regarding the validity of pretty much anything from the Moscow mouthpiece better known as RT.com, I have to admit they’ve caught an apparent Muslim scholar with his veritable pants down;
In an effort to get Muslim men to grow out their facial hair, a Muslim preacher has claimed that clean-shaven men with long hair “cannot be distinguished from women,” which can cause “indecent thoughts” to occur between males
“Men should grow beards. One of the two body parts that separate men from women is the beard,” Turkish preacher Murat Bayaral told religious station Fatih Medreseleri TV on Saturday, as quoted by [the Turkish newspaper] Hurriyet.
He went on to describe a possible scenario in which a man could find himself having “indecent thoughts” about another man.
“For example, if you see a man with long hair from afar you may think he is a woman if he does not have a beard. Because nowadays women and men dress similarly. God forbid! You could be possessed by indecent thoughts,” he said, apparently referring to same-sex relationships.
The South Central Asian nation of Pakistan may be a bit schizophrenic when it comes to active homosexuals, executing those drug before their increasingly Islamic-based court system, but leading the globe in gay Google searches, as reported by the New York Post.
Pakistan is by volume the world leader for Google searches of the terms “shemale sex,” “teen anal sex,” and “man fucking man,” according to Google Trends.
There’s just no getting around it, Taylor Swift is a doll.
But with her wholesome, All-American good looks aside, Swift has yet another super-power that very few possess – the ability to simultaneously send liberals up a wall while being just as sugary as all the sweet tea in South Carolina.
Pop star Taylor Swift apparently struck a nerve with leftists and Internet trolls this week after she said she “couldn’t have asked for a better year” in 2017 and thanked her fans in a birthday Instagram post.
“I love you guys so much,” Swift captioned a photo taken at a recent London concert. “I couldn’t have asked for a better year, all thanks to you. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Can’t wait to see what 28 will be like. See you on tour.”
That simple message was apparently too much for some Twitter users — and at least a few media outlets — who questioned how Swift could have a “great year” with all the tragedy occurring in the world, including the election of President Donald Trump.
is there anything more annoying than Taylor Swift talking about what a great year 2017 has been while everyone else is fighting for our lives under Trump? ugh…
I mean, yeah there were Nazi’s and white supremacy marches, and families are being town apart, and there were mass shootings, and people are losing health care, but none of that affects me, so 2017 was great!
However, Swift does have her fans who don’t mind standing-up for her;
Maybe Taylor Swift had the best year of her life b/c she won a sexual assault case in court, released an album that broke records, & is in love. Maybe it’s because last year everyone said she was “Over” & instead She rose out of the hate like a Phoenix.
There were even a couple of Swift defenders that landed a handful of well-aimed haymakers at the liberal crybabies;
Meanwhile in socialist Venezuela they are standing in daily food lines 1km long with the highest murder and inflation rates in the world. But please do tell us more about your brave "fight". pic.twitter.com/LUxlzGnLsk
Babies were born in 2017. People beat cancer in 2017. Children were adopted into forever homes in 2017. For the first time in a family’s history, a young person graduated from college in 2017. Americans gave $390Bil to charity in 2017. Life is more than the sum of our politics.
Miss Iraq, Sarah Idan, and her family had to flee their homeland after receiving death threats over a photo she posted online last month.
Why? Because Idan posed with Miss Israel, Adar Gandelsman, at a Miss Universe International Beauty Pageant, the Times of Israel reported.
Idan came under fire for posting the photo to Instagram, captioned, “Peace and Love from Miss Iraq and Miss Israel,” in addition to modeling a bikini.
“The two of those things together caused a mess for her back home where people made threats against her and her family that if she didn’t return home and take down the photos, they would remove her (Miss Iraq) title, that they would kill her,” Gandelsman told Israeli TV, the paper reported.
Not the first time a Miss Iraq has had to deal with death threats.
In a land where kidnapped is synonymous with butchered to death, Shaima Qassem Abdulrahman understands completely what was meant in a recent phone call.
As reported by Kuwait’s al-Watan news via The Jerusalem Post, the pretty 20-year-old was threatened not long after being the first woman crowned Miss Iraq in almost half a century.
Within hours of being named as Iraq’s representative to the 2016 Miss Universe contest, she “received a threatening phone call in which she was warned that if she refused to join the ranks of the Islamic State movement she would be kidnapped.”
Nothing screams racism more than singing the praises of a brisk winter’s evening ride. Even if it’s just a one-horse powered ride.
Well, according to Boston University professor Kayna Hamill it does.
When not busy jacking-up the college debt of parents stupid enough to pay for their kid to major in Theatrical History, Hamill fancies herself as quite the academic. As stated on her personal website, she’s the “Assistant Director of Boston University’s Core Curriculum and a Senior Lecturer in dramatic literature in BU’s School of Theatre.”
A professor at Boston University has proclaimed Christmas carol favorite “Jingle Bells” to be a “racist song” and is urging people to shun the jaunty tune.
Kyna Hamill, a theater history professor at Boston University, recently told the Boston Globe that the venerable Christmas song has a “secret” racist past that has been “systematically” hidden from Americans as they celebrate the Christmas season.
“The history of the song has remained hidden behind its local and season affection,” Hamill told the paper. She continued saying the song’s “blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history.”
Hamill claims the song, written 160 years ago by James Pierpont, was written to ridicule black people and was first performed in a blackface minstrel hall in Boston in 1857.
Hamill also points out that the song’s author later joined the Confederate army and wrote fight songs and patriotic airs for the nascent Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
With her research in hand, the professor is urging the town of Medford, Massachusetts to drop its annual celebration that Pierpont wrote “Jingle Bells” in their town and forever shun the “racist” song going forward.
It’s an unfortunate fact of life that some folks view everything in the world through the lens of these poor babies being the perpetual victims.
The entitlement pimps at Antifa and Black Lives Matter spring to mind. While I’m at it, let’s add online editor and print contributor Damon Young to the naughty list.
As cited by reporter Gabrielle Okun of The Daily Caller, this yutz slammed some unknown soul who was captured on a BBC news video saving a rabbit in the midst of the Southern California wildfires.
Damon Young, editor-in-chief of the digital magazine Very Smart Brothas (VSB), and a columnist for GQ.com, wrote an article criticizing a Thursday BBC video capturing a man identified as Caleb Wadnad rescuing a bunny from a wildfire, reported The Root.
The article called “The Video of the Man Saving the Rabbit From the Fire Captures Everything Wrong With Whiteness in 30 Seconds,” filed under the category “WHITE PEOPLE” makes the argument that Wadnad rescuing the bunny from flames shows that white people care more about animals than African-Americans.
Wadnad’s dramatic rescue depicts, “everything good about humanity,” Young writes. “But when witnessing the act and the fawning over the bunny rescue, I can’t help juxtaposing the feelings expressed about this bunny with the feelings generally expressed when black people are in grave danger.”
This action was the “whitest thing” he’s ever seen, the author also notes.
“I do know that whether it’s rabbits, cats, dogs, horses, cows, sloths, chickens, spiders, birds, elephants, penguins, polar bears, monkeys, whales, eels, elephants or velociraptors, the lives and well-being of animals seem to be considered—by many white Americans—much more precious and much more deserving of protection and care than the lives of black people,” added Young.
My brethren, count it all joy, when you shall fall into divers temptations
But in the true “spirit of Vatican II” feel-good spirituality where the path to salvation is littered with sad examples of self-worship and the slightest whiff of unicorn farts, the South American militant socialist is doing his level best to prove that indeed, that the smoke of Satan has entered the Church.
Riferendosi alla situazione della Chiesa di oggi, il Santo Padre afferma di avere la sensazione che «da qualche fessura sia entrato il fumo di Satana nel tempio di Dio.
Referring to the situation in the Church today, the Holy Father affirms to have the feeling that “the smoke of Satan entered the temple of God from some fissure.”
Now I come to find out that other than being the head cheerleader and pivot man for the Judas Iscariot Fan Club and Circle Jerk Society, the South American militant socialist wants to change the words of the Our Father to the more user-friendly French (of course) version.
“The French have changed the text with a translation that says ‘do not let me fall into temptation.’ I am the one who falls, but it isn’t He who throws me into temptation and then looks on to see how I fell. A father does not do this; a father helps us get up immediately.”
“The one who leads you into temptation is Satan,” he added, “that’s Satan’s role.”
Sadly, Francis seems to forget that it was The Third Person of the Blessed Trinity who led Christ into the wilderness to be tempted by you-know-who;
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil.
Anyhow, I decided to do a bit of digging into Bergoglio’s French translation to see if his proposal is faithful to the past 2,000 years of Catholicism.
Long story short – no. But to prove my point, let’s work our way back through history.
The first Catholic bible printed in English, the 16th century’s Douay-Rheims Bible, clearly states in The Holy Gospel of St. Matthew, 6:9;
And lead us not into temptation.
Pretty straightforward, but let’s take this a step further.
With his commission in 382 AD by Pope Damasus I, St. Jerome was the first to compile both the Old and New Testaments into a single book.
With the onset of various Italian regional dialects developing into the Italian language proper, good Saint Jerome had the presence of mind to translate his Biblia Sacra Vulgata from both the ancient Hebrew and Greek into what we know now as Liturgical Latin.
May thy name be holy.
May thy kingdom come.
May thy will be done.
Pitthan d-çorak  hav lan yomden.
Give us today our needed bread.
w-Shbuq lan hobenan.
And forgive us our debts / sins.
Hek ‘anan sh‘baqin l-haibenan.
As we forgive our debtors.
w-La ‘ul lan l-nisyon.
And lead us not into temptation.
As seen in the video below, translating from the ancient Aramaic to the modern English, the spelling and accents (pronunciation, inflections and all) may have slight differences, but the actual translation remains the same:
O-la ta-allan l-nisyovna… And not bring us into trail…
One thing I will say in defense of Francis… all churches at one point or another have to deal with a pretty lousy shepherd.
Despite the hard-left leaning Establishment Media in America attempting to make political hay by diminishing President Trump’s fulfillment of his campaign promise, and over two-decades-old American promise, to relocate the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to the legitimate Israeli capital of Jerusalem.
But what the same Establishment Media is failing to cite is that within minutes of Trump’s news conference, it was reported that two other nations have notified Israel’s Foreign Ministry with notification they intend to follow the American lead of shifting their embassy’s location from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte expressed interest in moving his country’s embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Channel 1 news reported on Wednesday, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to relocate the U.S. embassy.
According to the report, the Czech Republic expressed interest in moving their embassy to Jerusalem as well.
Is it just me, or is this another example of what happens when America re-asserts its leadership?
ABC News president James Goldston excoriated staff Monday over Brian Ross’ major error on a report about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and announced that Ross, the network’s chief investigative reporter, will no longer cover stories related to President Trump.
Goldston also told staffers that the network was conducting a “full review” of the error and its aftermath.
Ross had initially reported Friday morning that Flynn was prepared to testify that Donald Trump as a candidate had instructed him to reach out to the Russians. Ross said more than seven hours later on “World News Tonight” that his information was actually that Flynn was prepared to testify Trump made the request as president-elect. On Saturday evening, ABC News said Ross had been suspended for four weeks without pay for what it termed the “serious error.”
During ABC News’ morning editorial call Monday, audio of which was obtained by CNN, Goldston excoriated his staff for the error.
“I don’t think ever in my career have I felt more rage and disappointment and frustration that I felt through this weekend and through the last half of Friday,” Goldston said.
“I don’t even know how many times we’ve talked about this, how many times we have talked about the need to get it right,” he added. “That how we have to be right and not first. About how in this particular moment, with the stakes as high as these stakes are right now, we cannot afford to get it wrong.”
At least California Congressman Devin Nunes is actually trying to make the system work.
But if history has taught us anything, a Contempt of Congress charge levied against you (especially if you’re a Hillary-supporter backer) is about as threatening as a Cockapoo happily greeting you at the front door.
And yes, I’m referring to the completely useless 2012 Contempt of Congress resolution that went after ex-Attorney General Eric Holder regarding his “stonewalling” the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform as they investigated the Obama Administration’s failed Operation Fast and Furious.
Perhaps proving that everything old is new again, the Daily Caller is reporting that Rep. Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has instructed Committee staff to begin drawing up a Contempt of Congress resolution against Department of Justice Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Nunes set a Monday deadline for the DOJ and FBI to comply with the committee’s list of demands, which includes requests for interviews with Rosenstein, Wray, and deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe as well as documents related to the anti-Trump dossier written by former British spy Christopher Steele.
Committee Republicans have tried in vain for months to force the DOJ and FBI to provide details of the Russia investigation, including how much it relied on the uncorroborated dossier to form the basis of its probe.
But the final straw for Nunes appears to be the bombshell revelation that FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok was kicked off of Mueller’s team over the summer after it was discovered that he exchanged anti-Trump text messages with his mistress, an FBI lawyer named Lisa Page who also worked on Mueller’s team.
Page, the lawyer who exchanged the texts with Strzok, worked under McCabe at the FBI.
Committee Republicans have issued subpoenas to Wray and Rosenstein — first on Aug. 24 — in an attempt to force the two to provide information about how the FBI and DOJ handled the Steele dossier, which was commissioned by opposition research firm Fusion GPS and funded by the Clinton campaign and DNC.
“And yes, he did walk off the base, so by technicality, that does make him one, but…”
It’s been two years since the US Army charged Bowe Bergdahl with desertion. It’s been over a full month since the same plead guilty to deserting to the enemy.
Yet for whatever bizarre reason, the powers-to-be of the largest branch of our nation’s Armed Forces have yet to make a decision if the self-admitted deserter deserves;
$300,000 in back pay
The much coveted Ex-POW Medal
While we’re at it, let’s ask the Army why they accepted Bergdahl for enlistment, a Coast Guard wash-out who only completed 26-days of USCG Boot Camp. The deserter was bounced by the Coasties “reportedly for psychological reasons”.
With all that aside, I initially wrote the below article back in 2014. I just thought it appropriate to remind the nation of some of the truly stupid running/ruining the military.
As the Canadian singer-songwriter and pop music one-hit-wonder Daniel Powter once crooned to the world “‘Cause you had a bad day, you’re taking one down, you sing a sad song just to turn it around.”
Ironically, the family name of the British Columbian tune-smith along with the title of his only hit could be the reason why Bowe Bergdahl’s former roommate and ballet instructor gives him the benefit of the doubt regarding more than a few of his former comrades-in-arms accuse him of desertion in the face of the enemy, as reported by Fox News on June 3, 2014.
Sherry Horton, the artistic director of Ketchum, Idaho’s Sun Valley Ballet was interviewed also on June 3, 2014 by host Sean Hannity of the Fox News Hannity program where she retold of her past relationship with accused deserter Bowe Bergdahl.
Relaying that prior to Bergdahl signing up for the Army, she was not only his roomie, but also his ballet instructor.
By all accounts, the Army sergeant was quite the ballet aficionado, taking professional lesson from his late teens to his mid twenties.
When queried by Hannity what her reaction might be “when you hear that the person that you were so close to said he’s ashamed to be an American and that America is disgusting? What is your reaction to that?”
Horton was loyal to a fault of her former flatmate, “And I’m not sure any American, any person in general, has ever been 100 percent satisfied with their job and not had a bad day where they have said they wanted to quit, they wanted to kill their boss, they wanted to do whatever. You know, we all have those days on our job, and that’s basically what his was.”
Sticking with defending her protoge, when pressed by the show’s host, “Even though – even though almost everybody he served with said he was a deserter, you’re not believing them?”
Horton shot back, “You know, I can have an opinion and say what I want, too. And yes, he did walk off the base, so by technicality, that does make him one, but…”
It is undisclosed as of yet if the former guest of the Taliban participated in any of Sun Valley Ballet’s much touted performances that include Christmas classic The Nutcracker, as well as other “full-length ballet from our expanding repertoire including; Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, The Wizard of Oz, and The Little Mermaid.”
In the highest (lowest) traditions of liberal media hacks, they’ve collectively launched personal attacks against Melania Trump and her choices of how to decorate the Executive Mansion during this Nativity Season.
As cited below on her official Twitter account appropriately tagged @FLOTUS, Mrs. Trump displayed to the nation and the world what her office described in a press release as a decorative scheme designed by the First Lady herself “‘with a nod to tradition’ and paying ‘respect to 200 years of holiday traditions at the White House.'”
With it ostensibly understood that certain hard-core haters would attack the Trump family regardless of the circumstances, what came as a mild surprise was not only the Establishment Media giving Twitter trolls credibility by covering their anonymous swipes at Mrs. Trump as somehow “newsworthy”, but they’ve also decided to personally cast aspersions not only on Melania, but on Christmas itself.
Social media is mocking a photo display of White House holiday decorations that some say look rather haunting.
While most of the decorations appear traditional, one hallway has a more modern, stark display. The First Lady’s Director of Communications Stephanie Grisham also sent out a tweet with the image of the hallway decorations that many are deeming eerie and spooky and better suited to Halloween than Christmas.
One Twitter user pointed out that the dimly lit hallway lined with dead branches painted white looks like the perfect spot to tape a “Stranger Things” scene.
Another took the shadowy image and Photoshopped in Jack Skellington.
I wasn’t sure whether Melania’s White House Christmas decorations were more Pan’s Labyrinth, It, or Stranger Things, so I combined them all. pic.twitter.com/FKkcVHcxlM
But on the other side of the coin, the conservative-leaning Washington Free Beacon cited a handful of cheap-shot artists working for fashion magazines who decided to join in on the liberal hatefest;
The media is attacking First Lady Melania Trump for her White House Christmas decorations, comparing Mrs. Trump to an evil “ice queen” and criticizing her for wearing a coat while she helped decorate a tree.
The fashion world had a different reaction to the Obamas final Christmas decoration display at the White House, which included giant stuffed animals of the Obama dogs and puerile snowmen.
“The Obamas have set the bar high for holiday decorating; future First Families have big shoes to fill,” wrote Harpers Bazaar. The fashion magazine was awestruck by “friendly snowmen” “adorably dressed in earmuffs and scarves,” and said a foyer in the White House was “perfectly decorated.”
The magazine singled out “notable pieces of décor,” such as the “super-sized stuffed toy replicas of the Obamas’ dogs Sunny and Bo,” which were especially terrifying given Sunny’s penchant for mauling young girls and defecating in the White House.
Harpers Bazaar had no such praise for the decorations this year. Instead, the magazine criticized Melania for wearing an off-the-shoulder coat while decorating a Christmas tree, and piled on a
Twitter meme that compared the decorations in the East Colonnade to scenes in horror films.
“Twitter really doesn’t like the White House Christmas decorations,” wrote Harpers Bazaar, adding, “It’s been described as a ‘house of horrors.'”
The hallway is lined with tall “glistening wintry branches,” and leads to a Christmas tree that pays tribute to Gold Star families with star ornaments.
Vogue also used the display as an opportunity to attack the Trump White House. The fashion magazine criticized the decorations as being “very, very white,” and evoking an “apocalyptic, barren landscape similar to what some of us imagine lies in America’s future, or the calming white walls of a mental institution.”
Numerous mainstream media outlets wrote the same story. The New Yorker called Melania a “wicked queen,” Elle UK said she decorated the White House “like a nightmare,” while the Daily Beast headlined its story, “Step Inside Melania Trump’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”
