Communist leaders have long been known to be enamored by the sound of their own voices. The likes of Leonid Brezhnev, the Castro Brothers, Josef Stalin, Hugo Chávez, Erich Honecker and a veritable constellation of other red stars have made a name for themselves for long winded speeches that would last for hours upon hours. Chairman of the Communist Party USA John Bachtell has also illustrated that the collectivist inkwell is not only deep, but also leans hard in favor of Team Obama.
As reported by Eric Owens of the right-of-center The Daily Caller news portal on Jan. 30, 2015, in the course of Chairman Charman Bachtell’s over 2,000 word treatise on the state of the Communist Party USA, Comrade John noted that despite his disappointment with the Democratic Party for not being as hard-left enough to suit his tastes, he still gives an overwhelming vote of confidence to the Donkey Party. Citing what he called a “broad people’s movement,” the Bolshevik boss man credits the Dems as being sure to “advance its agenda.”
Leaving little question to what and who he considers the GOP to be comprised of, the self-styled community organizer penned “Republican Party is led by the most reactionary sections of Wall Street capital including the energy extractive sector and military industrial complex, it also consists of extreme right-wing elements including the Tea Party, white supremacists, social conservatives, right-wing evangelicals, climate deniers, anti-reproductive rights groups, etc.” Possibly due to his Communist tendencies, Bachtell uses a rather broad brush when describing those that take to the airwaves with an opposing point of view as being hateful. As the Chairman penned, “There are voting constituencies that presently support the GOP that have to be won over. Such an approach sees the need to actively challenge right-wing and GOP ideas that influence sections of the people, especially working-class whites, for example, through hate talk radio.”
As recent history shows, Bachtell’s fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama has long enjoyed support and active backing from the Communist Party of the United States (CPUSA) as well as the Communist Youth League. Dating back to 1992, CPUSA recognized then Illinois State Director of Project VOTE! by stating of Obama, “The main point is that awareness of the importance of voting, the excitement of voting this year is getting out there.” As cited, the American Communists have supported Obama in every election he’s been in since 2004.
