When Obama was running for his second term, I asked a friend of mine (a black woman) who she was voting for in the upcoming election. She looked at me rather incredulously and shot back, “Obama, of course!”
Fair enough. But my next question, “So what’s Obama done to improve your life?”
Needless to say, she wouldn’t answer.
With all that aside, as every American knows, or should know, Martin Luther King, Jr (born Michael King, Jr) once famously stated, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
He didn’t tell a lie to the nation and the world when he uttered those words.
This is more the case that many of us have turned his cautionary quote into the gigantic lie that it is, and the guilty party are overwhelmingly members of the Democrat Party (no pun intended).
Please keep in mind that Dr King wasn’t simply talking to himself… he was talking to us. I just can’t stress that enough.
Any Democrat, progressive, leftist, whatever, how happens to still be reading this, I ask you: How many of you voted for Obama primarily based on the color of his skin?
I’m asking every liberals of every hue… c’mon and man-up, be honest (at least with yourself).
The truth is this; an awful lot of you Dems voted for Obama simply because “he’s one of us” (blacks) or “it’s time for a black president” (white-guilt whites).
Are there white folks who didn’t vote for Obama based on nothing more than his (absentee) father’s African linage? Of course there are.
I’ll wager they hold their yearly get-together in a studio apartment. Maybe a phone booth, I dunno. They’ve never invited me.
As far as Trump goes, I know he’s no saint. Then again, I didn’t cast a ballot for the winner of The Most Virtuous Man in America Contest.
So what’s Trump done for me, a mixed-race All-American mutt? Plenty, and he’s doing it all for a paltry sum of $1.00 a year. Yeah… that says quite a lot about the content of his character.
So to all those liberals out there, if you really want to honor Dr King, how about actually honoring his legacy instead of taking a massive shite all over it.
