Busted: Man with horns attempted to lure minor girl into home, pretended to be a woman

Arturo Alfred Martinez, 42, of Hesperia, California, may not have always had sub-dermal horns implanted on the top of his head, but it’s a safe bet he’s had the “just fell face-first into a tackle box” look for quite some time now.

But wait, there’s more. Martinez is also a registered sex offender. Convicted on a count of indecent exposure, to be specific.

Did I mention he was also arrested for trying to lure a 17-year-old girl into his home?

To make this whole sordid story even more disturbing, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is saying that Martinez used a fake name and a “phony female voice” to bait his would-be victims.

As reported by San Jose, California’s Mercury News;

Arturo Alfred Martinez, 42, was arrested Thursday after investigators learned that one of his alleged victims is 17 years old. He faces charges of contacting a minor with the intent to commit a sexual act.

Martinez is a registered sex offender because of a conviction for indecent exposure.
Deputies went to his home in Hesperia after receiving complaints from numerous women and the 17-year-old girl who said they were lured to his residence under false pretenses.

They said they were solicited for various jobs — babysitting, cleaning, delivery services — by Martinez, who used a false name and phony female voice, a Friday news release said.

This freak show isn’t over yet. The Mercury News is also noting of Martinez’s numerous facial enhancements;

One booking mug of Martinez shows him with dozens of studs in piercings in his ears, lips and nose. In another, the piercings are empty but he has implants under the skin of his forehead that look like the nubs of horns.
