I’m not sure which is weirder; a fairly populous county in California that Donald Trump came within a hairsbreath of winning in the 2016 presidential election (123,660 HRC votes — 113,949 DJT votes), or that a professional baseball team “didn’t know” that they were about to publicly humiliate one of the more ultra-leftie members of the US Congress.
Here’s the skinny; with the Memorial Day holiday in the rear-view mirror, the AAA Pacific Coast League Fresno Grizzlies played for the hometown fans a gameday video honoring not only the late President Ronald Reagan, but also the American fighting man (below).
As reported by USA Today, “But as the voice of President Ronald Reagan mentioned ‘enemies of freedom,’ the video showed an image of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., between images of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and former Cuban president Fidel Castro.”
As the Breitbart.com news portal noted, the Grizzlies dutifully “apologized for appearing to label Ocasio-Cortez as an enemy to freedom…”
Of course, AOC immediately started whining, and predictably, blaming all men;
What people don’t (maybe do) realize is when orgs air these hateful messages, my life changes bc of the flood of death threats they inspire.
I‘ve had mornings where I wake up & the 1st thing I do w/ my coffee is review photos of the men (it’s always men) who want to kill me. https://t.co/hiYbPghad7

Interestingly enough, the family name Ocasio is from the Latin word Occāsiō, meaning “Opportunity”, and the Cortes in Spain is the name of the lower house in the nation’s legislative branch.
Does that mean that AOC’s name really means “Opportunistic-Congresswoman”?
