Is ‘Pie à la Mode’ Arabic for ‘God Loves Ice Cream’?

It must be exhausting to be this angry all the time …

Allahu Akbar, Insha’Allah, Pie à la Mode — yes, Muslims invoke their twisted, blood-soaked version of God at almost every turn.

Speaking of Muslims, a blood thirsty deity and ice cream, have you heard of the utterly absurd reason excuse SJS (Sudden Jihad Syndrome) reared its wild-eyed head in Great Britain a few years ago?

From back in 2005, Muslims residing in England literally threatened jihad due to the lid from ice cream cones sold at participating Burger King’s had a logo that ever so slightly resembled the Arabic chicken scratch written language for the word “allah.”

Somehow never noticing that the barbaric scrawling also resembles a man’s junk (“a meat and two veg” for my British friends) a certain Rashad Akhtar of the London suburb of High Wycombe was all über-outraged over the “sacrilegious” logo.

Never mind that BK apologized profusely, even after delivering their groveling excuse: “The design simply represents a spinning ice-cream cone.”

Oh, no. None of that was good enough.

Akhtar threatened a “jihad” against everyones favorite flame broiled monarch and purveyor of tasty frozen treats.

This is my jihad. How can you say it is a spinning swirl?

If you spin it one way to the right you are offending Muslims.

Eventually, the fast food chain was forced to spend thousands of pounds to redesign the lid that suited the Muslim Council of Britain.

In closing …

And yes, À la Carte is Arabic for “Oy, gevalt! the Master of All Creation just wants a little nosh,” and Bubballah is used to indicate the close personal friendship between any given Muslim and Allah.
