Just a few short months ago, Fox News reported of an Islamic jihadist went on a killing spree in the south of France that eventually came to a bloody end in a supermarket.
Screaming “allahu ahkbar!”, Morocco-born Redouane Lakdim ended up killing four and wounding 15 in yet another ISIS terror attack within the borders of the Gallic republic.
Of the dead, the market’s butcher was also a victim of the Muslim terrorist.
But before the dead were even buried, in a heartless example of rubbing salt into the wound, NPR is reporting that a “militant vegan” was given a 7-month suspended sentence for praising the murder of the grocery store’s butcher;
It was after a lone gunman took hostages in a grocery store in the southern French town of Trebes in March. In the incident, the armed extremist killed a police officer and the store’s butcher. The vegan wrote online that it didn’t matter if the butcher was killed because he was a murderer, too.
NPR also cited Brigitte Gothiere of L214, a major French vegan group that defends so-called “animal rights.” As quoted, Gothiere stated “animals are sentient beings and people today know they don’t have to eat animals to be in good health.”
Since then, Fox News is also noting that French butchers are requesting government intercession due to “terror” at the hands of “militant vegans”.
French butchers have no patience for beefs with “militant vegans,” and have asked the government for protection from the “terror” of animal rights activists, who they believe are vandalizing their shops.
On July 18, NPR reported that continued instances of “hardline” and “militant vegans” allegedly defacing butcher shops across the country with fake blood, abusive graffiti and broken windows prompted the president of the French Confederation of Butchery, Butchers and Delicatessen to request government intervention.
According to the BBC, over 15 shops have been attacked in such a way through the last few months.
On a personal note, this leads to quite a predicament — if the murdered butcher really is a murderer himself for killing animals lower on the food chain than himself, as the militant vegans assert, then when to we start arresting cheetahs and lions?
After all, cheetahs and lions “don’t have to eat animals to be in good health.”
Besides… if certain animals had the opportunity to eat you, they most certainly would.
