In what can only be described as bizarre, former-First Daughter Chelsea Clinton stated at this past weekend’s “Rise Up For Roe” pro-abortion rally held in New York City, that the 1973 Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion has pumped literally trillions of dollars into the American economy.
Doubling as a Brett Kavanaugh bashing, as reported by Breitbart.com, Clinton stated;
It is not a disconnected fact … that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. … The net, new entrance of women — that is not disconnected from the fact that Roe became the law of the land in January of 1973.
So, I think, whatever it is that people say they care about, I think that you can connect to this issue. Of course, I would hope that they would care about our equal rights and dignity to make our own choices — but, if that is not sufficiently persuasive, hopefully, come some of these other arguments that you’ve expressed so beautifully, will be.
However, Becket Adams of the Washington Examiner has published three very interesting thoughts regarding Clinton’s less-than-verifiable claim;
First, I thought it wasn’t about the money. I thought it was about choice and personal autonomy. Clinton’s focus here on the supposed economic benefits of Roe is unsettling. To endorse it as a money-generator is one step away from endorsing termination-for-profit. And why not? If Roe added $3.5 trillion to the economy, then let’s up those numbers! Let’s do it and be rich! If personal profit is the real game – well, at least Clinton is being honest. So much for safe, legal, and rare.
Second, there may be a correlation between the $3.5 trillion added to the U.S. economy and the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, but it’s not a clear-cut thing.
While we’re here, let’s talk more about the drain that the average cost of obtaining an abortion ( $300 – $800) has been on the U.S economy. Let’s talk also about the cost of eliminating an estimated 60 million persons from the national workforce.
While America has fallen below the fertility rate of 2.1 children born to every couple to an all-time low of 1.8, Clinton failed to mention the potential income of the 60 million+ slaughtered citizens since Roe v. Wade.
With abortion legalized in 1973, the number of Americans in the labor force (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) was 85.299 million.
According to the Social Security Administration, the total number in 1973 of those qualified retired workers and their dependents and/or survivors, as well as disabled workers and their dependents stood at 29,513,677.
Using simple math, to calculate the number of workers supporting those drawing SS (divide the larger number by the smaller number), in 1973 the ratio was one SS recipient per 3.29 working Americans pumping their hard earned pay into the government scheme.
For the past 35 years, there have been about 3.3 workers per beneficiary (consistent with the ratio of 30 beneficiaries per 100 workers). After 2030, the ratio will be two workers per beneficiary (consistent with 50 beneficiaries per 100 workers).
For those blessed enough to have children or grandchildren this calendar year, the same Social Security will go broke when they’re 19. As noted by the Social Security Administration;
Benefits are now expected to be payable in full on a timely basis until 2037, when the trust fund reserves are projected to become exhausted.
The poster child for time travel and condom usage, Chelsea Clinton is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a New York City baby killing pro-abortion conference that’s also aimed at killing the SCOTUS nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Sponsored by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and something called the Demand Justice Initiative, the event entitled “Rise Up For Roe” is seeking to rile-up the deep-pocket Leftists of the Big Apple to mobilize Congressional Democrats in axing Judge Kavanaugh possibly taking a seat on the Supreme Court.
The Aug. 11 event in Manhattan is meant “to talk about the very real threat #Kavanaugh poses to abortion rights,” according to the event’s website.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and the Demand Justice Initiative have organized the New York event as part of a nationwide tour to urge people to consider what most assume to be Kavanaugh’s conservative-aligned views on abortion.
Among the other featured speakers include the likes of Democrat lightweight Sen. Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren and the always mockable has-been, Alyssa Milano.
This movable train wreck is also scheduled to infect Boston, Mass.; Portland, Ore.; Washington, D.C.; Austin, Tex.; Phoenix Ariz.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Denver, Colo.; and Des Moines, Iowa.
The below video has absolutely nothing to do with the Rise Up For Roe, I just figured you’d had enough of looking at ugly women.
Despite DeLauro’s somewhat different spin on hashtags instead of leadership, her one minute of wearing purple for the downtrodden doesn’t mention that she’s one of the wealthiest members of Congress.
Cited by the good folks over at InsideGov.com, the 14-term congresswoman’s personal fortune is slightly more than $15.2 million.
In another example of phoniness, Life News reported in 2007 during the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI, His Holiness bluntly proclaimed that legislators who claimed to be Catholic, but were staunch defenders of abortion had de facto excommunicated themselves.
“Yes, this excommunication was not an arbitrary one but is allowed by Canon (church) law which says that the killing of an innocent child is incompatible with receiving communion, which is receiving the body of Christ,” he said.
“They (Mexican Church leaders) did nothing new, surprising or arbitrary. They simply announced publicly what is contained in the law of the Church… which expresses our appreciation for life and that human individuality, human personality is present from the first moment (of life),” he added.
The pope talked about church doctrine known as “automatic excommunication” where someone who does something which the church considers a grave sin inflicts on themselves.
Also reported, it was DeLauro who took the lead in arguing with the pope when it comes to Catholic Canon Law, and also by virtue of her being an American, she wasn’t subject to the same theological beliefs and teachings;
Led by pro-abortion Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat, eighteen members of the House issued a statement responding to the pope’s comments.
“We are concerned with the pope’s recent statement warning Catholic elected officials that they risk excommunication and would not receive communion for their pro-choice views,” the statement read.
They said that the penalty of excommunication “offend(s) the very nature of the American experiment and do(es) a great disservice to the centuries of good work the church has done.”
DeLauro and the pro-abortion lawmakers suggested that even though the Catholic church is pro-life that it’s a personal mission rather than a mission accomplished through public policy.
Tomi Lahren: “Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body”
Tomi is hot. There’s simply no two ways about it. As my Spanish speaking friends say; that girl’s en fuego.
Tomi is also quite the incendiary political commentator. Again with the whole en fuego thing.
The facts that Tomi Lahren is physically attractive as well as quite adept in the art of verbally stirring-up political passions aren’t in question. What is in question here is Lahren’s conservative street cred.
As reported by the Associated Press via the Breitbart.com news portal, the cable news powerhouse, the Fox News Channel has just hired on Lahren as… achem, a “conservative” political commentator.
Fox News Channel has hired conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, who has hosted shows on The Blaze and One America News Network along with working for a political action committee supporting President Donald Trump.
The network said on Wednesday that Lahren will have a “signature role” on a digital product under development and be a commentator on the network’s opinion programming. Her primary home will be on Sean Hannity’s show, where she was to debut on Wednesday.
Lahren, who is 25, has quickly achieved a high profile in the conservative movement following her graduation from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has more than 4 million Facebook followers, and she produces her own videos with commentary on politics and culture.
However, what the Associated Press failed to mention is that there happens to be a certain conservative topic that Lahren has long since ago abandoned: Being pro-life.
In a bit of a stunner, Lahren gave somewhat of a shock to the conservative world when she boldly proclaimed on the screamingly liberal Monday through Friday panel show The View: “Stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body.”
Tomi Lahren, the 24-year-old conservative host of the show “Tomi” on the Blaze, has fiercely criticized the feminist movement. In her trademark fast-talking rants, the commentator has called modern-day feminists selfish, man-hating “snowflakes” and said that “real women don’t wake up and skip work to march for abortions.”
Lahren, an avid Trump supporter, has been called incendiary. It is not unusual for her appearances to incite outrage from the left. But over the weekend, her words provoked fury from an unlikely segment of Americans: the right.
Appearing on “The View” on Friday, Lahren admitted that she supports abortion rights, saying it would be hypocritical of her to believe the government should decide what women should do with their bodies.
“You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,” Lahren said.
But the provocative commentator defended herself, tweeting Saturday, “Listen, I am not glorifying abortion. I don’t personally advocate for it. I just don’t think it’s the government’s place to dictate.”
“I speak my truth,” she added on Twitter. “If you don’t like it, tough. I will always be honest and stand in my truth.”
“Conservatives don’t have to exist in a monolith and share the same brain on every issue,” Lahren tweeted. “It’s okay.”
Americans love to flaunt to the world whenever they exercise their Constitutional rights. Be it an “I Voted” lapel sticker handed out on election day, to bumper stickers that advocate numerous causes, Yankee Doodle Dandies have the innate desire to put on display the fruits of their God-given rights. One exception to the rule very well could be the actions of the Louisiana governor in response to pro-abortion marchers outside the Baton Rouge Executive Mansion.
As reported by Austin Ruse of the Breitbart.com news portal on Aug. 20, 2015, GOP presidential hopeful and Chief Executive of Louisiana, Gov. Bobby Jindal has two-fold raised the ire of Bayou State pro-abortion activists by initially cancelling the state’s Medicare contract with Planned Parenthood, then ordered the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to launch an investigation into Planned Parenthood. As reported, Jindal “requested Inspector General Stephen Street to initiate a joint investigation with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to determine whether Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast is engaged in the illegal harvesting and trafficking of human body parts.”
With Jindal the first governor to make such moves in the wake of the Center for Medical Progress’s (CMP) undercover expose of officials from Planned Parenthood offering up for sale various vital organs recently harvested from the bodies of freshly aborted fetuses (eyes, lungs, hearts, livers, and brains) the pro-abortion movement decided to take their protest up close and personal to Jindal and his family by marching on the Executive Mansion in the state capital. Possibly as a move to let not only the marchers, but also the world in general know what the end product of the abortion procedure is, Jindal ordered the various CMP videos to be played on an extra large movie screen with accompanying suitable speakers.
Not only has Jindal ordered the playing of the videos, he’s ordered them to be played on a continual loop. The most recent of the videos released retell of a former “procurement technician” who was instructed at a Planned Parenthood facility to cut through the face of a “nearly fully developed baby boy” in order to harvest the brain. Reportedly, the supposedly aborted fetus still had a heartbeat up to the point of his dissection.
This isn’t the first time Jindal has set the precedence for the nation’s governors. On the heels of the Knoxville, Tennessee, Islamic jihadist killing of 4 unarmed Marines and one similarly unarmed sailor at a Marine Corps Reserve Center, acting as the state’s Commander-in-Chief of the Louisiana National Guard (LANG), Jindal ordered all LANG recruiters and Drill Center personnel to arm themselves against possible future attacks.
With a rapidly approaching fiftieth anniversary of the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) taking the abortion question away from the 55 state and territorial governments, the battle pro and con still rages on as contentiously as it did in the early 1970s. As when the SCOTUS initially federalized purposeful termination of pregnancy, the question of abortion is still front and center as one of the prime topics in presidential politics today.
“The pro-abortion crowd attempted to stifle them with chants of ‘Hail Satan…'”
While a sizable percentage of mainline Protestant denominations and almost without exception, Jews who classify themselves as Liberal or Reformed, have deemed both homosexual marriage and abortion as being morally acceptable for adherents. As it turns out, liberal-leaning Christians and Jews share that same particular attitude with those who worship The Lord of the Flies. As reported by the right-of-center Life Site News portal on June 11, 2014, the national spokesman for the Satanic Temple made clear their Dark Lord stands with gay marriage and abortion proponents.
“The more that government mandates evil actions, the more likely civil disobedience becomes …”
Although widely ignored by most of the American media, as well as many of his brother priests doing their best to distance themselves from him, one of the leading Catholic clerics in the United States has warned Barack Obama that the more “government mandates evil actions, the more likely civil disobedience becomes,” as reported by the right-of-center Cybercast News Service (CNSNews.com) on Feb. 14, 2014.
On Jan. 29, 2014, the decidedly pro-life/anti-abortion LiveActionNews.org (LAN) called out the decidedly anti-life/pro-abortion Salon.com as one of their writers opined that she readily recognizes that an unborn child is certainly a human being, she still has no problem with aborting the “entity” within, believing the abortion performed would be a necessary “sacrifice.”
Writer Nancy Flanders of LAN critiqued an op/ed piece penned by Mary Elizabeth Williams for Salon.com that was provocatively titled “So what if abortion ends life?”
If the title itself left any doubt in the reader’s mind, the sub-title ended any question – “I believe that life starts at conception. And it’s never stopped me from being pro-choice.”
