Flamboyant Chicago Cardinal on Sexual Abuse: Pope More Concerned with Global Warming and Migrants

Shockingly enough, Blase Cardinal Cupich, the Archbishop of the Chicago Archdiocese, stated in an interview with the NBC affiliate in Chicago WMAQ-TV that in regards to the bombshell allegation that complicity in the McCarrick sex abuse cover-up scandal goes all the way Pope Francis;

“The pope has a bigger agenda. He’s gotta get on with other things, of talking about the environment and protecting migrants and carrying on the work of the Church,” Cupich said.

As reported by Breitbart.com, “Cardinal Cupich commented on a recent 11-page statement by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, former papal nuncio [ambassador] to the United States, that alleges a series of misdeeds by high-ranking Catholic prelates, including Pope Francis himself.”

Cupich is one of the many Francis-friendly clerics he’s elevated within the hierarchy of the American Church.

As Life Site News reported in 2016 when Cupich was promoted from the Archbishop of Spokane to Cardinal overseeing the Chicago Archdiocese;

Cupich, whom a reliable Vatican source warned LifeSite that the then Spokane bishop was potentially “the most dangerous”-to-the-faith bishop in the United States, has undergone a rapid increase in status and influence in the Church under Pope Francis.

As the bishop of Spokane, Washington, Cupich requested that priests and seminarians of his diocese not participate in 40 Days for Life prayer vigils outside abortion facilities.

In August 2015, in the wake of the Center for Medical Progress videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s baby body parts trafficking scandal, Cupich wrote that unemployment and hunger are just as appalling as the killing of millions of children in the womb and the damages that many of their mothers have experienced.

Cupich has openly contradicted Catholic canon law on giving Holy Communion to those in a state of mortal sin.

Shortly after his appointment as Archbishop of Chicago, Cupich said that giving Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians can be a good thing. Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law instructs those “conscious of grave sin” on their soul to refrain from receiving Holy Communion.

Fr Miguel Pro during his execution by communist troops. Fr Pro’s final words; “iViva Cristo Rey!” Long live Christ the King.

At the 2015 Synod on the Family, Cupich laid out a pathway for same-sex couples and the divorced and remarried to receive Holy Communion in accordance with their consciences.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that proper consciences are formed according to the teachings of the Church.

As a Catholic, I simply can’t believe that any of the sainted martyrs who surrendered their lives fighting the communist dictatorship during the Cristero Rebellion of the 1920s died for a Church that valued climate change over bringing kiddie rapists to justice.

I’m equally sure that not a single one of the hundreds of English Martyrs of the 16th and 17th gave-up their lives for a Church that considered the act of sodomy to be some sort of protected class.

As St. Pio of Pietrelcina once stated to Fr Gabriele Amorth, “Satan will come to rule a False Church.”

I fear that time has come.
