Only MLB Player to ‘Take a Knee’ Arrested for Pulling Gun on Delivery Girl

Major League Baseball has no hard-and-fast rules regarding how managers, players and staff should conduct themselves during the pre-game playing of the National Anthem, but it’s widely understood that the powers to be at MLB certainly don’t want to see a baseball version of the Colin Kaepernick-inspired wholesale disrespect of the American flag and everything it stands for.

In fact, the closest thing MLB has to a “rule” is;

“While this is not a league rule, the playing of the national anthems of the United States and Canada remains an important tradition that has great meaning to our fans. The playing of ‘God Bless America’ at designated games is a club choice.”

Nonetheless, as everyone knows, it only takes one rabbit turd to ruin the stew. As reported by Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated just last month;

Oakland A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell became the first Major League Baseball player to kneel for the national anthem in open protest ahead of Oakland’s home game against the Texas Rangers.

Maxwell, who is African-American and comes from a military family, chose to kneel with his hand on his heart while facing the flag in solidarity with the NFL players who continue to protest racism and inequalities in America.

Hmmm… “racism and inequality”? Just so everyone knows, Maxwell makes $535,000 for six months worth of playing a kid’s game.

Sadly for Maxwell, being the solitary sac à douche in Major League Baseball to take a knee during the Star Spangled Banner quite probably belies some of his lesser qualities.

What? Did you just say that Bruce Maxwell was just busted for pulling a gun on a fast food delivery girl?

Why, yes… yes you did

From the Arizona Central;

Oakland A’s catcher Bruce Maxwell was arrested in Scottsdale on Saturday on suspicion of pointing a gun at a woman delivering food.

Sgt. Tyler Johnson, a spokesman for Scottsdale police, said officers responded to a call about 6 p.m. at Maxwell’s Scottsdale residence about a person with a gun.

The woman told police that Maxwell pointed a gun at her, Johnson said.

Maxwell has been booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.

Johnson said Maxwell, 26, was being held awaiting his initial court appearance.

It was unclear what led up to the incident, and Johnson said no other details were available.

Yahoo News Poll: Fans turn against NFL in overwhelming numbers

Call it payback, divine retribution, karma… call it what you will, but in a recent poll by Yahoo Finance, the NFL honchos move to align themselves with the anti-American, pro-Colin Kaepernick elements within the league have just seen seen their efforts blast back in their collective faces.

In what Yahoo Finance contributor Rick Newman referred to as both an “existential” and an “enduring” problem, Roger Goodell’s business plan may need another look.

In a poll of 12,500 interviewed;

  • Nearly 62% of 9,056 respondents told us they plan to watch less pro football in response to the anthem controversy
  • Thirty-six percent said they plan to buy less NFL merchandise
  • Thirty-two percent have chosen not to attend a game they would otherwise have gone to
  • Slightly over 77 percent feel it’s wrong for players to kneel during the National Anthem
  • The controversy made 53 percent more supportive of President Trump, while less than 20 percent feel less supportive

Regarding how they would feel if the players and team owners experience “lasting financial harm”;

  • It would bum me out 10.21%
  • I wouldn’t care 30.12%
  • I would be pleased 47.20%

Is Taking a Knee Really Showing Disrespect to the Troops?

The latest mania sweeping liberal America is this “taking a knee” nonsense at everything from NFL games to Pee Wee football. Ostensibly performed as a sign of protest regarding racist (white) cops gunning down black males on a regular basis.

However, as the New York Post recently reported, the truth is far for the narrative perpetuated by the likes of Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter;

Who is killing these black victims? Not whites, and not the police, but other blacks.

In 2016, the police fatally shot 233 blacks, the vast majority armed and dangerous, according to the Washington Post. The paper categorized only 16 black male victims of police shootings as “unarmed.” That classification masks assaults against officers and violent resistance to arrest.

Contrary to the Black Lives Matter narrative, the police have much more to fear from black males than black males have to fear from the police. In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male was to be killed by a police officer.

Black males have made up 42 percent of all cop-killers over the last decade, though they are only 6 percent of the population. That 18.5 ratio undoubtedly worsened in 2016, in light of the 53 percent increase in gun murders of officers — committed vastly and disproportionately by black males.

But now that the light of truth has been shone on the liars on the left, let’s get back to the topic at hand.

As I recently covered, Jesse Benn (a proud Communist) from the reliably America-hating Huffington Post, opined that white NFL players who stood for the Star Spangled Banner are actually standing in defense of white supremacy.

Or as Benn so eruditely notes;

We’ve all heard the typical argument against kneeling. “Kneeling during the anthem disrespects the flag and the soldiers who fought for your right to protest and blah blah blah patriotism!”

Now, I’m not going to spend much time with the most obvious counter, but it’s worth stating. In the fairytale we Americans tell ourselves where soldiers fight wars for freedom and not imperial conquests, the story says they’re fighting for someone’s right to protest, not the opposite. So using the troops as a cudgel against protest wholly misunderstands even our own national fairytale.

Obviously this yutz, along with Kaepernick, BLM and the entire Democratic Party never bothered to ever listen to the National Anthem.

Imagine being a young American soldier stationed at Baltimore Harbor’s Ft. McHenry during the Second War of American Independence (aka: The War of 1812). You and your fellow soldiers have been shelled all night by eight of the massive bombardment ships of the Royal Navy.

Rockets red glare, bombs bursting in air, all the heroic words. Of course, minus the madness of knowing that you could be ripped to shreds at any moment in a very painful and agonizing death that was rarely instantaneous.

Every time one of the Royal Navy’s Congreve rockets exploded, the American soldiers, sailors, Marines, militiamen, citizens and slaves of Baltimore (yes, slaves willingly helped erect and fortify the defenses) who spent the night erecting ramparts to the east of the city to fight off the impending British land invasion, well… with every flash of light they looked to Ft McHenry to see if the Stars and Stripes were still flying over the fort.

As dawn broke, Francis Scott Key, Esq., the people of Baltimore, the American troops both in the fort and in Baltimore, and all of those in His Majesty’s Service saw that it wasn’t the British Union Jack, but the flag of the United States of America that was snapping in the wind.

With that bit of reality done with, please read the words carefully while you follow along with the Marine Band;

O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket’s red glare, the bomb bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Qu’est-ce que ce fils de pute a dit?

We all know that many, and I mean MANY, members of the NFL are among this nation’s über-rich. Along that train of thought, many, and I mean MANY, members of the NFL have become quite enamoured with “taking a knee” during the playing of our National Anthem, while a number of other players think themselves the modern-day Rosa Parks based on nothing more than raising the clenched-fist black power salute.

Remember the old says when you had to actually do something to be considered a civil rights incon?

Anyhow, just to keep things in perspective regarding those poor, suffering footballers, let’s do a side-by-side comparison between the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.

Wait. Let’s kick it up a notch. How about we instead do a side-by-side-by-side comparison between the National Football League, the NFL practice squads (also known as: The Practice Dummies), and then finally the pros from The Great White North.

Minimum salary:

  • National Football League – $465,000
  • NFL practice squads – $7,200 per week (During a 17-week schedule: Sixteen game plus one bye week equals $122,400 for 17 weeks of work.)
  • Canadian Football League – $53,000 (But in all fairness, that’s in Canadian dollars. So I’m not sure if that’s equal to a butt-load of money or more like a buck fiddy.)

Another sailor’s open disrespect to America, à la Kaepernick

Disrespect to America. (Facebook)
Disrespect to America. (Facebook)

The vast majority of Americans who never had the opportunity to serve in the Armed Forces don’t realize that those who were in uniform voluntarily surrendered certain Constitutional rights when they joined. One of those rights knowingly given-up was freedom of speech and expression in the form of openly showing disrespect to either the American flag and/or the National Anthem. 49’ers Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for National Anthem

colinkap

Obviously, Colin can read a defense as well as he can read Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech…

It would be a grand understatement to say that life in these United States was good for San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick. No, life in America has been very good for the Forty Niner.  Continue reading 49’ers Colin Kaepernick refuses to stand for National Anthem
