Did Trump really say ‘the media is the enemy of the people’?

It goes without saying that the American people are rightly proud of our First Amendment, as we should be.

The number of countries that routinely toss legitimate reporters in jail, torture, rape and/or execute the same valid journalists looks an awful lot like roll-call at the United Nations.

But now that I think about it, it’s pretty amazing how those two go hand-in-hand.

Anyhow, leftist politicians, along with their media lapdogs, are setting their hair on fire over President Trump supposedly stating that “the media is the enemy of the people.”

Here’s just a few of the more attention grabbing headlines:

  • The New York Times – “Trump Embraces ‘Enemy of the People,’ a Phrase With a Fraught History
  • MSNBC – “Trump calling media enemy of the people could endanger lives
  • Washington Post – “Trump calls the media ‘the enemy of the American People‘”
  • New York Daily News = “President Trump labels news media ‘enemy of the American people’
  • CNN – “Trump calls media the “enemy” of the people

Then there’s the tweet sent out by Seth “Precious Snowflake” Abramson;

As he describes himself on his personal website, Abramson cites that he’s written for newspapers such as The Washington Post, The Kansas City Star, The Economist, Boston Review, The Dallas Morning News, The Seattle Times.

Not just daily newspapers, he also notes that he’s a “regular commentator on U.S. politics on CNN and the BBC, with recent additional interviews by CBS, CBS Radio, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC Radio, ABC News, ABC Radio, NPR, PBS, the CBC, Bloomberg, the Columbia School of International and Public Affairs, The Washington Post, The New York Times, New York Magazine, Newsweek, Vanity Fair, The Boston Globe, Politico, Congressional Quarterly, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Der Spiegel, The New York Daily News, The Wall Street Journal, and others.”

Anyhow, this President Donald J. Trump sure is a rotten guy, huh?

But wait… here’s the actual tweet the president sent out;

Hmmm… it looks like the NY Times, MSNBC, the Washington Post, etc, left out the words “fake news.”

You know what “fake news” is also called? Propaganda.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, propaganda is defined as;

“information, ideas, opinions, or images, often only giving one part of an argument, that are broadcast, published, or in some other way spread with the intention of influencing people’s opinions.”

I have but one parting question: Where does the fake news media end, and slander begin?

Fake News: NBC Claims Freed Korean Prisoners ‘Staged’ by Trump

I sometimes get the distinct impression that if President Trump discovered a $5 cure for cancer, the Fake News Media would attack him for putting oncologists out of work.

Case in point: NBC reporter Hallie Jackson just attacked the Chief Executive for “choreographing” a “staged production meant for television” when he and the First Lady greeted the just-freed American prisoners held by North Korea’s Kim Jong-in.

As reported by Brian Flood of Fox News;

NBC News star Hallie Jackson said that President Trump’s wee-hours greeting of the three American prisoners who’d been held in North Korea was a “very carefully choreographed,” “staged production meant for television.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland early Thursday with Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak Song and Tony Kim, and they were greeted by the president, first lady Melania Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. The NBC News White House correspondent harped on the fact that the event was televised.

“It was a moment of intense anticipation … very carefully choreographed, right? The vice president landed, the president, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and then that plane carrying these three American citizens,” Jackson said on MSNBC. “Donald Trump is a former reality show producer. This was a staged production meant for television, meant for the cameras, meant to be shown and seen here in this country and around the world.”

Obviously, this chick’s never seen the video of Barry Hussein Obama’s Rose Garden glaringly staged event for the parents of Bowe Bergdahl.

Akkow me to refresh her memory;

Wolf Blitzer explains how the word ‘s***hole’ is a threat to national security

maxresdefault

Only the loons at CNN could manage to conjure up this fairy tale.

With a straight face, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer bemoans that the supposed vulgarity uttered by President Trump (hint: it rhymes with “zit bowl“) very well may be used by some very nasty people to attack the United States.

As reporter Amber Athey over at The Daily Caller notes;

CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer argued on Thursday that Trump’s “shithole” comments could pose a national security threat.

Somehow missing out that the overwhelming majority of those who want to kill Americans don’t need a reason, just an excuse, Blitzer continued with;

Blitzer claimed that he had spoken to national security officials who were worried that “haters” and “potential terrorists” would use the comments to conspire against the United States.

“There’s a national security component to all of this as well,” Blitzer said. “National security officials have told me they’re concerned that these words, so widely publicized around the world, will be used by haters and potential terrorists out there to conspire against the United States.”

“That’s a serious problem indeed,” he concluded.

Lib trolls, fake news attack Melania’s White House Christmas decorations

melania-trump

In the highest (lowest) traditions of liberal media hacks, they’ve collectively launched personal attacks against Melania Trump and her choices of how to decorate the Executive Mansion during this Nativity Season.

As cited below on her official Twitter account appropriately tagged @FLOTUS, Mrs. Trump displayed to the nation and the world what her office described in a press release as a decorative scheme designed by the First Lady herself “‘with a nod to tradition’ and paying ‘respect to 200 years of holiday traditions at the White House.'”

With it ostensibly understood that certain hard-core haters would attack the Trump family regardless of the circumstances, what came as a mild surprise was not only the Establishment Media giving Twitter trolls credibility by covering their anonymous swipes at Mrs. Trump as somehow “newsworthy”, but they’ve also decided to personally cast aspersions not only on Melania, but on Christmas itself.

As the San Francisco Chronicle allegedly “reported” along with publishing the insults themselves;

Social media is mocking a photo display of White House holiday decorations that some say look rather haunting.

While most of the decorations appear traditional, one hallway has a more modern, stark display. The First Lady’s Director of Communications Stephanie Grisham also sent out a tweet with the image of the hallway decorations that many are deeming eerie and spooky and better suited to Halloween than Christmas.

One Twitter user pointed out that the dimly lit hallway lined with dead branches painted white looks like the perfect spot to tape a “Stranger Things” scene.

Another took the shadowy image and Photoshopped in Jack Skellington.

But on the other side of the coin, the conservative-leaning Washington Free Beacon cited a handful of cheap-shot artists working for fashion magazines who decided to join in on the liberal hatefest;

The media is attacking First Lady Melania Trump for her White House Christmas decorations, comparing Mrs. Trump to an evil “ice queen” and criticizing her for wearing a coat while she helped decorate a tree.

The fashion world had a different reaction to the Obamas final Christmas decoration display at the White House, which included giant stuffed animals of the Obama dogs and puerile snowmen.

“The Obamas have set the bar high for holiday decorating; future First Families have big shoes to fill,” wrote Harpers Bazaar. The fashion magazine was awestruck by “friendly snowmen” “adorably dressed in earmuffs and scarves,” and said a foyer in the White House was “perfectly decorated.”

The magazine singled out “notable pieces of décor,” such as the “super-sized stuffed toy replicas of the Obamas’ dogs Sunny and Bo,” which were especially terrifying given Sunny’s penchant for mauling young girls and defecating in the White House.

Harpers Bazaar had no such praise for the decorations this year. Instead, the magazine criticized Melania for wearing an off-the-shoulder coat while decorating a Christmas tree, and piled on a

Twitter meme that compared the decorations in the East Colonnade to scenes in horror films.

“Twitter really doesn’t like the White House Christmas decorations,” wrote Harpers Bazaar, adding, “It’s been described as a ‘house of horrors.'”

The hallway is lined with tall “glistening wintry branches,” and leads to a Christmas tree that pays tribute to Gold Star families with star ornaments.

Vogue also used the display as an opportunity to attack the Trump White House. The fashion magazine criticized the decorations as being “very, very white,” and evoking an “apocalyptic, barren landscape similar to what some of us imagine lies in America’s future, or the calming white walls of a mental institution.”

Numerous mainstream media outlets wrote the same story. The New Yorker called Melania a “wicked queen,” Elle UK said she decorated the White House “like a nightmare,” while the Daily Beast headlined its story, “Step Inside Melania Trump’s Nightmare Before Christmas.”

The applause for Trump the MSM cut off – Fox’s Shep Smith defends CNN

Donald Trump slams CNN. (Youtube)

Donald Trump, Gen. Jim Mattis, USMC (Retired), and Gen. John Kelly, USMC (Retired) just very well could be brothers from different mothers.

As seen in today’s donnybrook of a press conference at Trump Towers, the President-Elect went into full-on Jarhead attack mode on CNN’s Jim Acosta.

Unless one has been living in a cave in the Himalayas, just about everyone in the civilized world has already seen the video clip of The Donald’s giving the CNN reporter the proverbial back of his hand.

But while the vast majority of news organizations have chosen to have said clip abruptly end the very split second The Donald utters the words “fake news,” what many haven’t seen, or heard as the case may be, was the round of applause coming from the press corps back benchers, ostensibly glad that someone finally called out one of the chief propagandists for the NeverTrump movement (see video below).

In the meantime at the Fox News Channel, the news reader that many Fox viewers would follow in Megyn Kelly’s rather hasty exit has taken it upon himself to defend both CNN and Jim Acosta.

As reported by Breitbart.com;

Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Shepard Smith Reporting,” host Shep Smith rallied to the defense of his CNN colleague Jim Acosta after President-elect Donald Trump called out Acosta’s organization personally for being fake news following a report about Trump’s involvement with Russia.

“[C]NN’s exclusive reporting on the Russian matter was separate and distinctly different from the document dump executed by an online news property,” Smith said. “Though we at Fox News cannot confirm CNN’s report, it is our observation that its correspondents followed journalistic standards and that neither they nor any other journalists should be subjected to belittling or delegitimizing by the President-elect of the United States.”
