Democrats angry that ICE is enforcing immigration and customs laws

ICE doing ICE stuff. (Wiki)The third word in the acronym ICE is “enforcement”. The first and second words are “immigration” and “customs,” respectively. Yet for whatever bizarre reason, Democrats are quite upset with ICE doing their job.

Arguably, the Democrats understanding of the English language is on par with their understanding of the constitutionality of the electoral college.

Proof of such would be the latest Trumper-tantrum the members of the Jackass Party are clutching their pearls over.

Like everything else with the Dems, they’re now having yet another group-power-pout over the Trump Administration violating various “sensitive” spaces that illegal aliens might find themselves occupying at any given time.

Yet to say that the Trump-haters are in melt-down is an understatement. Case in point would be Washington Post reporter Katie Mettler (via the Norwich Bulletin) managing to get the words “Donald Trump,” “undocumented immigrants” and “Gestapo” in the very first sentence of her article concerning recent ICE arrests.

But for a far-more objective and professional report, Lincoln Graves of KATU News (of Roseburg, Oregon), cites a US Representative from the Beaver State is none-too thrilled with how ICE has gone about arresting a number of illegal aliens.

As reported;

U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Oregon, along with other U.S. House members, unveiled legislation Thursday aimed at protecting “sensitive” locations during immigration enforcement efforts.

It would prohibit arrests, interviews, searches, and surveillance in medical or health care facilities, public and private schools, places of worship, courthouses, DMV offices, and locations that provide emergency services.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement currently operates under similar guidelines, but Bonamici says the bill would solidify and expand them.

“So this bill would put that into law and also expand sensitive locations to include courthouses because we are very concerned about people not being able to report crimes or, for example, seek protective orders,” Bonamici said.

Bonamici hosted a roundtable discussion at Portland State University Friday morning. Local and state leaders joined the discussion, which centered on why the legislation was needed.

“These are people who feel safer at home with their abuser than they do coming to get services they need,” said Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury, in reference to undocumented immigrants who’ve avoided domestic violence counseling because they’re afraid ICE agents could be staked out a government buildings.

“It pains me that we are not able to take away the fear and the stress and the strain that our community members are feeling,” Kafoury said. “I strongly believe this legislation is an important step forward.”

There is, however, opposition to Bonamici’s idea.

Kevin Hoar, spokesman for the Oregon GOP sent KATU a statement that reads:

“Congresswoman Bonamici is proposing to create a “safe zone” to interfere with the enforcement of federal law that she has sworn to uphold. ICE is performing an essential service to Americans by seeking to detain and deport the illegal aliens who have been committing serious crimes in our country. Why isn’t her priority to ensure that our country is a “safe zone” from the serious crimes of illegal aliens?”

Massachusetts vets slam Warren, McCain: Favors ‘illegal immigrants over US Veterans’

The internet-based vets advocacy group Veterans Assisting Veterans have taken aim at a number of Massachusetts politicians and the senior senator from Arizona, but specifically Sen. Elizabeth Warren for what they see as her “‘selfish political theater’ and demanding they put veterans’ services at the top of their list — or feel the heat.” Continue reading Massachusetts vets slam Warren, McCain: Favors ‘illegal immigrants over US Veterans’

No sanctuary for those killed by illegals…

Much like a child holding his breath during a temper tantrum, a small number of Democrat governed cities still stinging from Donald Trump’s presidential victory are proudly proclaiming their status as sanctuary cities for millions of illegal aliens. Francis slams Trump’s Christianity, ignores Obama’s infanticide

In a none too subtle swipe, Pope Francis has openly questioned the Christianity of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, as reported by Britain’s venerable BBC on Feb. 18, 2016. Finishing a six-day visit to Mexico, the South American Jesuit told the press “A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian.”

For his part, Trump responded with, “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith.” While campaigning ahead of the GOP South Carolina Presidential Primary, he also stated, “[The pope] said negative things about me. Because the Mexican government convinced him that Trump is not a good guy.”

Curiously, during a state visit last September between Francis and Barack Obama, there was nary a mention from Francis regarding Obama’s past opposition to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA) while he was an Illinois state senator early in his political career. In a 2008 report, LifeSiteNews.com noted, “Barack Obama, as a member of the Illinois State Senate, actively opposed a state version of the BAIPA during three successive regular legislative sessions.  His opposition to the state legislation continued into 2003 – even after NARAL [National Abortion Rights Action League] had withdrawn its initial opposition to the federal bill, and after the final federal bill had been enacted in August 2002.”

According to Douglas Johnson, NRLC [National Right to Life Committee] spokesman, “in 2003, Barack Obama, as chairman of an Illinois state Senate committee, voted down a bill to protect live-born survivors of abortion – even after the panel had amended the bill to contain verbatim language…” As cited, in 2000, the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA) was first introduced to the United States Congress. This was a two-paragraph bill intended to clarify that “any baby who is entirely expelled from his or her mother, and who shows any signs of life, is to be regarded as a legal ‘person’ for all federal law purposes, whether or not the baby was born during an attempted abortion.”

Testifying before the US Congress in 2000 was Jill Stanek, a nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois, who saw firsthand what happened to children who survived the abortion procedure. “Stanek relates the story of how one night she saw a nurse bringing a baby to the soiled utility room to die, because the parents of the child did not want to hold it. The other nurse also did not have the time to hold the child. ‘When she told me what she was doing I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone,’ says Stanek. ‘And so I cradled and rocked him for the forty-five minutes that he lived.'”

Stanek also stated in her testimony to Congress that she also had previously appeared before an Illinois State Senate Committee, a Committee on which Barack Obama sat. “Barack Obama,” she says, “was unmoved, and actually opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.”

According to the official teaching of the Catholic Church regarding abortion is actually quite clear, especially concerning the the very basic right of being considered “a person”; “Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person – among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

Another part of the Catechism of the Catholic Church Francis may have missed was the quite unambiguous passage regarding immigration; “Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants’ duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens.”

Long suffering legal immigrants need to sue Obama Administration for reparations

Marine Sgt. Tikonblah Dargbeh poses with fiancee Ashley Smalls, left, and mother Martha Dargbeh, right, following a Sept. 10, 2009 naturalization ceremony at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., during which the Marine officially became a U.S. citizen.

But I digress, yet again. Obama’s de facto granting of amnesty to somewhere between 4.5 – 6 million immigrants has been a spit in the face to ever legal, law-abiding naturalized citizen this nation has ever made one of our own. The very same legal, law-abiding naturalized citizen that followed that very basic American trait of just following the rules. Most waited patiently for years. Many spent a small fortune just to proudly and legally say “I’m an AMERICAN citizen.” Some went as far as fighting and bleeding for this country before it became their country.

As far as our nation’s immigration system being “broken,” the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly known as the Immigration and Naturalization Service) has for decades maintained the wherewithal to correctly process though the system millions of newly minted American citizens each and every year. But that number is now getting getting smaller and smaller each and every year. Why? Simple … what few Border Patrol Agents are actually stationed on the Mexican line are busy changing diapers and keeping those rambunctious members of the MS-13 Teen Auxiliary occupado. Should I even bring up the Three Stooges farce the immigration court system has become? No … you get the picture.

While an already bureaucratically-bloated immigration system does manage to somehow plod along despite of 11 – 20 million illegals overloading the system, it’s not a perfect system. Someone with a backbone needs to blow into town with a fat-cutting chainsaw. As The Fiscal Times noted recently, “There are an estimated 4.4 million people on waiting lists to qualify for family-based or employment visas to enter the U.S., with waiting times ranging on average from five years to 20 years. Experts say there are so many different types of visas and regulations — and so many peculiarities to the law and bureaucratic snafus — that discussing the length of lines is almost meaningless.”

But there are those who willingly wait in line. Correctly, responsibly, legally. And every so often there are cases of legal aliens who have such a love for the United States, they’re willing to put their lives on the line just to be called “American.” Men such as Sergeant Tikonblah Dargbeh, USMC and Lance Corporal Mario Pacheco-Perez, USMC.

Born Mexican citizens, Mario and his twin brother Josue came to this country as permanent legal residents in 2006. When the brothers learned that volunteering for military service could speed up their naturalization process, both chose the branch of service known for an almost fanatical love of the United States – the US Marine Corps.

Another that not only talked the talk, but walked the walk, was Liberian-born Tikonblah Dargbeh, “whose father instilled in him the belief that America represented greater opportunity to excel.” When made a citizen in 2009, the Marine Sergeant’s mother, Marta said of her son, “As a little kid, he had always loved the military, so this is a dream come true for him to be able to get into the Marines and here he is a U.S. citizen. It’s a really big occasion for us. We are very proud of him.”

Among the Teufelhunden’s awards are campaign ribbons denoting his two combat tours as well as the Combat Action Ribbon, the Presidential Unit Citation, and the Purple Heart for wounds received when a suicide bomber rammed his bomb-laden car into Sgt. Dargbeh’s vehicle. Without coming off as a braggart, the Leatherneck plainly said at his citizenship ceremony, “I understand what it means to give selfless service.”

Sadly for this nation, new Americas like Tikonblah Dargbeh and the Brothers Pacheco-Perez are quickly becoming the exception rather than the rule. Those that followed the law should file a personal lawsuit against Obama and also against the Executive Branch. As they say on the streets, they were done dirty.
