The U.S. Representative for Massachusetts’s 4th congressional district has taken to social media to lecture anyone who’ll listen to him how women ALWAYS deserve to be believed, especially in cases of rape or sexual abuse/assault, period.
As soon as I read his tweet (below), three things immediately crossed my mind;
Apparently, JoJoJo never heard of something along the lines of the presumption of innocence
Apparently, JoJoJo never caught a showing of of the film Chappaquiddick
Apparently, JoJoJo never learned how to cite references for his alleged facts
First things first — this ridiculous Op-Ed piece published by the NY Times claiming to be penned by an anonymous “senior official in the Trump administration” raises one hell of a lot more questions than it provides answers.
Simply based on The Times publishing this essay anonymously, how in the world are we to believe it was authentically authored by “a senior official in the Trump administration”?
In all sincerity, what guarantee do we have that this wasn’t written by some starry-eyed NeverTrump intern working out of a janitor’s closet in the basement of The New York Times Building?
There isn’t one. That’s the guarantee we have from the NY Times.
Especially in light of their track record of textbook yellow journalism the Gray Lady has been pumping out for more than a few decades. The good folks at the NYT will have to excuse me for not quite believing them (sarcasm, off).
But just for shits and grins, let’s assume there’s still a shred of journalistic integrity left at the self-titled “newspaper of record.”
How do we know if this individual is even in Trump’s inner circle? We don’t.
How do we know if this individual even works in the West Wing? We don’t.
How do we know if this individual even works at the White House? We don’t.
How do we know if this individual is even in the Greater Washington, DC area? We don’t.
Something else to consider, if this phantom writer truly is “a senior official in the Trump administration” please keep in mind that the words “Trump administration” are synonymous with “the Executive Branch of government.” That’s an awful lot of people.
Let’s kick it up a notch. According to the official website of the Office of Personnel Management, there are well over two million civilian employees under the auspices of the Executive Branch. The possibility of those desirous to refer to themselves “senior officials” conceivably could number in the thousands.
Yeah, I know I’m ahead of the power curve on this one, but I think our president is a shoe-in for the next Nobel Peace Prize.
I’m also of the opinion that in light of the Nobel’s recent history, President Trump very well may consider the Nobel medallion itself little more than a glorified doorstop.
As we all remember, the Nobel committee selected Barack Obama as the 2009 recipient. And Obama’s qualifications? Well, he wasn’t George W. Bush… and that’s all those pussy Europeans considered important.
Anyhow, I think our president should accept when he wins the Norwegian honorific for his efforts to evade World War III on the Korean Peninsula.
Upon his acceptance, I certainly would consider it as Trump’s crowning glory if he were to accept in the name of our fellow American citizens in the Mariana Islands chain, as well as Otto Warmbier.
As everyone remembers from last summer, North Korean government-controlled media specifically threatened the US territory of Guam with a nuclear strike.
As the reliably leftie Independent newspaper of London noted;
North Korea is reviewing plans to strike US military targets in Guam with its medium-range ballistic missiles to create “enveloping fire,” according to state media.
The governor of Guam, Eddie Baza Calvo, posted an address early Wednesday morning on YouTube, telling island residents not to worry.
“I know we woke up to media reports of North Korea’s talk of revenge on the United States and this so-called newfound technology that allows them to target Guam,” the governor said. “I’m working with Homeland Security, the rear admiral and United States to ensure our safety, and I want to reassure the people of Guam that currently there is no threat to our island or the Marianas.”
Directly north of the American territory on the Marianas chain is the United States Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas (CNMI).
While most State-Siders don’t even know that the Marianas Islands are 100 percent American, both Guam and the CNMI are a whole lost closer to Pyongyang than Washington, DC (2,000 miles vs nearly 13,000 miles, respectively).
As Gov. Calvo (R) informed the Commander-in-Chief that not only the residents of Guam, but also those in the CNMI know what it’s like to be “targeted”.
All Americans knew the feeling of being within range of NoKo ballistic missiles, but our fellow Americans on the Marianas probably wouldn’t even have enough warning time to even take cover.
It’s no small wonder that thousands of the Chamorro gathered at towns and villages up and down the chain to publicly recite the Rosary asking for celestial intervention.
A more than worthy co-recipient would be the late Otto Warmbier.
As the president noted post-summit, it was young Otto that the catalyst for the two leaders meeting in the first place. As reported by NBC News, Trump credited Warmbier untimely death for making the talks possible;
“Otto Warmbier is a very special person and he will be for a long time in my life. His parents are good friends of mine. I think without Otto, this would not have happened,” Trump told reporters at a Tuesday news conference in Singapore.
“Something happened from that day, was a terrible thing. It was brutal,” the president added. “But a lot of people started to focus on what was going on, including North Korea. I really think that Otto is someone who did not die in vain. He had a lot to do with us today.”
Warmbier’s parents, Fred and Cindy, issued a statement Tuesday, “We appreciate President Trump’s recent comments about our family. We are proud of Otto and miss him. Hopefully something positive can come from this.”
The summit, where Trump and Kim signed a joint statement agreeing to pursue the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, was held on the anniversary of Warmbier’s release.
Warmbier, a 22-year-old University of Virginia student from Ohio, was imprisoned in North Korea in March 2016 after he was arrested for taking a poster from a hotel he was staying in while on a tourist visit to Pyongyang and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor.
However, he was released by North Korea on “humanitarian grounds” in June 2017 and sent home in a coma, where doctors described his condition as “unresponsive wakefulness.” He died days later on June 19, and it is still not known what exactly killed him.
Seriously, I’ve got nothing against black people in general or any other racial or ethnic group. But there is a specific circumstance where I’m an absolute, first-class bigot.
I despise mindless drones who willfully surrender their ability for critical thinking just so they can follow the rest of the hive.
Sure looks like LeBron James and Steph Curry have forgotten that not all that long ago, black Americans loved everything Trump.
I certainly won’t insult the readers’ intelligence by posting all those pics that numerous black citizens-of-note who leapt when it came time for a photo-op with The Donald. The same pics are easily found by way of a simple image search.
Anyhow, like the bleating sheep that they are, James and Curry have answered the call by the unholy trinity of the Establishment Media, Al Sharpton and Nancy Pelosi ordering the slave-mentality minded to condemn everything Trump.
Case in point: ESPN is singing the praises of James and Curry for both announcing that neither of their respective teams will visit mean ol’ Trump when the 2018 NBA champs will eventually be crowned later this month.
These two dim-wits are about as edgy as a bowling ball.
Predictably, the rest of the Establishment Media is screaming in the faces of whoever will listen to them how cool it is to boycott the White House.
But wait… is that the same ESPN who pilloried goaltender Tim Thomas of the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup winners, the Boston Bruins? Yep, sure is.
Quicker than you could say double standard,Joe McDonald of ESPN penned back in January of 2012, his article entitled “Tim Thomas put himself above team”;
But when the president of the United States invites you and all your teammates to the White House to honor your Stanley Cup championship, you go and represent the team.
On Monday, Thomas instead chose to represent himself.
Goalie Tim Thomas declined the invitation, however, calling into question his choice to place his own political leanings over a team event.
Never missing a chance to hate on white folks, even the lily-white Leftie English at The Guardian chimed in;
In so boldly declaring himself an individual who made choices only on his behalf, Thomas neglected the very first and basic rule of sports: It’s a team game. You win as a team, you lose as a team, and you say hello to the president as a team. Thomas was a stand out in the Bruins’ Stanley Cup campaign, but he did it as part of a collective.
Hmm… “as part of a collective.” Locutus of the Borg couldn’t have said it any better.
But then there’s this gem by Dave Hodge of Canada’s TSN;
Don’t know if it’s fair to point this out, but Tim Thomas has three children named Kiley, Kelsey and Keegan.
It’s glaringly obvious that the Deep State, and their predictable coterie of bootlickers, ass-kissers and brown-nosers from Hollywood, the Establishment GOP, and the MSM, have a deep-seated, burning hate for our president.
The rabid NeverTrump media were giddy as schoolgirls when the word got out that Donald and Melania weren’t on the guest list to the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Oddly enough, when the same word got out that Barry and Meeshie didn’t make the list either, nary a whisper from the leftie press.
Despite failing to make the cut, the Trumps still showed class by sending the happy couple the traditional gift American presidents have sent to royal weddings, the official glass bowl of the current POTUS, as reported by Monica Showalter of The American Thinker (and also verified by London’s The Daily Star).
As it turns out, that’s what the Trumans sent Liz and Phil a bowl when they got hitched, as did the Reagans when Chuck and Di tied the knot.
But as it turns out, the Trumps went a step further.
As reporter Showalter correctly cited, Harry and Meghan have asked that in lieu of gifts, to instead contribute to one of their seven favored charities (also verified by People magazine), which is exactly what the Trumps did.
To which specific charity and the amount donated has not been made public, which is the way any charitable donation should be.
Anyhow, Showalter (a crackerjack reporter in her own right) noticed something a bit odd going on with the media on both sides of the pond;
But after all the wall-to-wall speculation about whether he or President Obama would get an invitation, and quite a few in the press thought President Obama would, the press was curiously silent about whether President Obama was just as magnanimous as President Trump. I Googled and Googled, and nada, zip, nothing. If he sent a present, the press is weirdly derelict of duty, because we know that the journalists would have told us about it. The Obamas made much of their supposed friendship with the royals during the Invictus Games in Canada not too long ago. Well, with all that friendship, pretty strange we aren’t hearing about them sending a wedding gift. Given the press’s suckuppery to the Obama clan, doesn’t it seem likely that if they gave a gift, the press would report it?
Nope, the evidence for now is that the Obamas sent nothing. This would be about par for them. They never gave their kids Christmas gifts, for one. And the previous gifts they gave to the royal family have been utterly tacky – tapes of Obama’s speeches on iPods and other junk nobody in his right mind would keep. They aren’t good at this.
You’d think they’d be bigger about it anyway.
Thus far, nothing from the press. Maybe we will hear about a gift sent late, after people start to notice. For now, what a cheapskate.
I sometimes get the distinct impression that if President Trump discovered a $5 cure for cancer, the Fake News Media would attack him for putting oncologists out of work.
Case in point: NBC reporter Hallie Jackson just attacked the Chief Executive for “choreographing” a “staged production meant for television” when he and the First Lady greeted the just-freed American prisoners held by North Korea’s Kim Jong-in.
NBC News star Hallie Jackson said that President Trump’s wee-hours greeting of the three American prisoners who’d been held in North Korea was a “very carefully choreographed,” “staged production meant for television.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland early Thursday with Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak Song and Tony Kim, and they were greeted by the president, first lady Melania Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. The NBC News White House correspondent harped on the fact that the event was televised.
“It was a moment of intense anticipation … very carefully choreographed, right? The vice president landed, the president, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and then that plane carrying these three American citizens,” Jackson said on MSNBC. “Donald Trump is a former reality show producer. This was a staged production meant for television, meant for the cameras, meant to be shown and seen here in this country and around the world.”
Obviously, this chick’s never seen the video of Barry Hussein Obama’s Rose Garden glaringly staged event for the parents of Bowe Bergdahl.
When President Trump recently awarded the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy to the Black Knights of the US Military Academy’s (West Point) football team, he seemingly caught the attendees and guests by surprise when he made mention of a possible fifth branch to the Department of Defense, the US Space Force.
In spite of the news wonks all opining that The Donald seemed to have made-up the notion of a Space Force on the spot, Fox News via the “Greg Gutfeld Show” (video seen below) acknowledge that certain members of Congress last summer have voiced the apparent need for a new military service.
Much akin to how the US Marine Corps and the US Navy are co-equals within the civilian-led Department of the Navy, the Space Force (also being considered to be tagged the Space Corps) would saddle-up as a co-equal with the US Air Force under the civilian Secretary of the Air Force.
In the meantime, the Business Insider notes of five rather bizarre weapons systems that our potentially newest branch of the armed forces;
First up is the Air Force’s extra hush-hush X-37 Orbital Test Vehicle. In light that the government has never made public as to exactly what the X-37 does, it’s speculated that craft could be used either as a spy satellite or as a weapons platform, maybe even a combination of the two.
The good folks over at DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) have sent the pilotless “space plane” into orbit only a handful of times. There have been five different flights since first introduced in 2010 – the shortest duration at eight months, the longest time clocking-in at a solid two years.
Pretty much the only thing the Pentagon has admitted to the public is that the reusable craft has been testing “an advanced propulsion system.”
In joint US-Israeli venture, the THEL reportedly is capable of destroying “incoming munitions as they fly through the air.” Does the Business Insider (BI) mean inter-continental ballistic missiles?
Drone strikes launched from space? Not just any drones… we’re talking entire swarms of miniature drones.
While the BI reported on the X-37 as the drone in question, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility of the space plane being its own micro-aircraft carrier carrying hundreds, if not thousands of high explosive suicide drones.
Either remotely piloted or pre-programmed, the mini-drones could conceivably attack anything from mass troop formations, to destroying everything from command, control, and communication (C3) systems, to possibly even anti-air or anti-ship weapons.
It may be misspelled, but the MAHEM system is just that.
According to BI, “[The MAHEM] warhead can be placed on something as large as an ICBM or as small as an RPG and shoots an ‘explosively-formed jet’ of chemically molten metal into (and probably right through) any reinforced or armored structure.”
Development on Excalibur began in the 1970s, but kicked into high gear when President Reagan advanced the Strategic Defense Initiative, better known to the public as “Star Wars”.
Long story short, the Excalibur Project consisted of focusing the output of a nuclear explosion into X-rays. A single Excalibur laser could attack multiple missile targets up to thousands of miles distant.
As Coffey noted in his book;
He [Tiller] planned to place Excalibur in high orbit. As enemy missiles left the atmosphere, the Excalibur controller would pick-up the bright plumes of the missiles’ rocket engines. Excalibur’s hydrogen bomb would then detonate, its x-ray lasers would flash for a few milliseconds, and the Soviet missiles, warheads still inside, would disappear.
Between the San Diego Police Department, the San Diego Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol and the Secret Service, the pro- and anti-Trump crowds were kept on separate sides of the main road heading into the area where the border wall prototypes are on display.
However, not all was peaceful as the LEOs (Law Enforcement Officials) kept the two groups at a safe distance, as an unknown number of troublemakers attempted to goad the pro-Trumper contingent.
Reported by the San Diego CBS affiliate KFMB-TV, roughly 45 minutes before the Commander-in-Chief arrived, a car drove directly in front of the Trump-backers waving a Mexican flag.
As the CBS reporter noted, whoever was waving the flag of a foreign nation also happened to drop it to the ground. Perhaps letting his bias show, the Fox network affiliate from San Diego (who shot the video, below), Jamie Chambers had a different take. I’m still not sure how you “snatch” a flag out of a moving vehicle.
Anyhow, apparently considering the dropped flag as discarded property, an unknown Trump supporter retrieved such, and as things turned out, had a bit of a political statement of his own.
At first glance, the Trump supporter appeared to be of Latino heritage, but was obviously 100 percent Rojo, Blanco y Azul.
The patriot exclaimed “F**k Mexico, this is AMERICA!” While a number of other individuals cheered him on, it was difficult to make out that the patriot-in-question was saying.
But he did finish with a hearty exhortation of “Wave the AMERICAN flag!”
Rachel Maddow is living proof that liberalism makes you ugly, as seen in the above photo.
And as it turns out, liberalism also makes one dumber than hell.
In a mind-boggling example of the Trump Derangement Syndrome incarnate, PMSNBC anchor-thing Maddow is finding fault with President Trump accepting North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un’s whimper of an “invitation” (Read: “Surrender”) in regards to de-nuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
Only in the fevered, sick minds of liberals could President Trump be demonized in trying to find peace.
You simply won’t believe the patently stupid things Maddow has to say.
We’ve all seen the signs proclaiming “gun-free zones” ranging from pre-schools to universities. But I must admit, I don’t see how the collective IQs on either campuses are really all that different.
Anyhow, in one whopper of an admission regarding the same gun-free zones, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) claims that 98 percent of all mass shootings in the United States actually in one of those feel-good titled gun-free zones.
Massie said the solution to school shootings is putting more than one armed guard at school or allowing teachers to be armed, adding that “98 percent of mass public shootings happen in a gun free zone.”
Throwing more fuel under the haunches of the anti-gun proponents, Massie added via CNSN.com;
“And we’ve labeled all of our schools as gun free zones. We need to take those labels off, and put our kids in that two percent category of being safe, instead of being in that 98 percent vulnerable category,” he said.
In one of the few instances I disagree with the direction taken by President Trump, Rep. Massie strongly disagreed with the president’s stated intent to raise the legal age to purchase semi-automatic rifles to 21.
It’s already illegal for those under 21 to own a handgun, arguably a case of denying to those legally considered adults, that those between the ages of 18-20 cannot exercising their Second Amendment rights to lawfully keep and bear arms, regardless of barrel length or caliber.
Why should a 20yr old single mom be denied the right to defend herself and her kids? We should lower the age to buy a handgun to 18, instead of raising the age to buy an AR15. SAD! https://t.co/riLrfXZlbb
America’s morbidly obese federal bureaucracy is figuratively the giant that’s so big, it can’t even tie its own shoes.
Just one example: The Department of Defense has more civilian workers than those actually in uniform.
But in another spectacularly innovative move, President Trump’s campaign promise of a smaller but more efficient federal government is in the works.
As reported by Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner, “President Trump plans to take the huge federal Civil Service off cruise control, ending automatic pay increases that go to 99.7 percent of the workforce, trimming fat benefit packages, and for the ‘worst,’ rolling out his trademark phrase from The Apprentice, ‘You’re fired!'”
Among the changes in the president’s proposed budget:
Creation of a bonus pool to reward good employees.
An end to so-called “step increases,” pay hikes of 3 percent to 5 percent that 99.7 percent of federal workers get even if they are poor performers.
Changes to the overall pay package, with a focus on generous retirement benefits, that align federal pay to the private world.
Retraining of employees.
Redeploying workers where they are needed.
Bedard also reported that besides decades worth of presidents promising change, “officials stressed that there is bipartisan support on Capitol Hill for the needed legal changes to make the reforms, backing by federal unions and even encouragement in agencies who feel bad workers are rewarded and good ones are ignored.”
Even more good news was reported by the Washington Examiner;
The officials, speaking on background, did not say how large or small they expect the bureaucracy to be after the three-year reform effort, but it was clear that many workers in jobs that private industry has automated will be out.
And it was also clear that the workforce will be younger, mobile and more tech-savvy. Several times the officials noted that the Civil Services was created at a time when secretarial help was key and now higher-educated IT employees are needed.
This can only bode well for the future of America.
I’m sure we all remember the still smoldering dumpster fire better known as the Obama Economy.
All on his own, Obama doubled the national debt more than every president from George Washington to George Bush (an historic first); an anemic GDP that never gained more than three percent (another historic first); unemployment for young black men hovering at fifty percent (yet another historic first), it’s a safe bet that Comrade Barry was in the deep-end of the pool when he should have kept his narrow ass in the shallows.
While the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (aka: “The Obama Stimulus Package”) was suppose to repair infrastructure across the nation, the only thing Obama succeeded in doing was watching $1 trillion evaporate.
And who could forget who could forget such Obama economic miracles such as the fine folks at Solyndra who whistled all the way to the bank after scamming the American taxpayers out of half a billion dollars.
But one thing I will give to Obama was a painfully slow up-hill battle that Wall Street managed to wage, in spite of Obama’s socialism.
On the day Obama won his first national election, Nov 4, 2008, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9,625. Fast forward eight years and change when Trump won in his bid for the Oval Office, the DJIA closed at 18,332.
OK… a total of 8,707 points for two terms. Not bad.
But wait. In the fourteen months since Trump was declared the winner of his race, Jan 17, 2018, the same DJIA has nearly doubled (26,115) in what it took an Obama-led economy over eight-years to pick-up.
In other words;
During the eight-YEARS of Obama, the Dow rose 8,707
During the 14-MONTHS of Trump, the Dow rose 7,783
Should I mention now that female unemployment is at a 17-year low? Or that black and Latino unemployment numbers are now at the lowest levels in the history of unemployment statistics?
No. I’ll let your (increased) paychecks speak for themselves.
While the Obama cuckolds are sniping at President Trump for defending the Iranian freedom marchers taking to the streets, the former Israeli ambassador to the United States and current Deputy to the Prime Minister, Michael Oren, just went public in accusing Barack Obama of kowtowing to the goon squad leadership Tehran, all so the ex-president could secure for himself a place in history by signing a nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic.
Oren, himself a former paratrooper in the Israeli Army, is a member of the Kulanu (All of Us) political party, which happens to favor a two-state solution with the Palestinians.
“The Obama administration’s lack of support for the (2009) Green Revolution was part of a pattern in which it did not hold Iran accountable for any provocation.
It would seem it was part of a general approach that began in Obama’s first week in office in 2009 of wanting to reach a deal with Iran at pretty much any cost.”
Oren went on to list a number provocations by the Iranian government that Barack Obama and his administration purposefully chose to turn a blind eye to;
The violent crackdown on the 2009 Green Revolution protesters
The kidnapping of American citizens
Having their missile boats provocatively approach American destroyers
Trying to assassinate him [Obama] and his Saudi counterpart in downtown Washington
The failure to follow through on a red line Obama imposed on Syrian dictator Bashar Assad using chemical weapons
Iranian-backed Hezbollah smuggling massive amounts of cocaine into the US
In the meantime, many of the now-out-of-power Obama flunkies are hammering away against President Trump for his support of the freedom marchers,
Perpetually touting themselves as the champion of oppressed people everywhere, the Obama toadies have made their opinions known regarding President Trump and the Iranian freedom marchers: Shut up and leave the ayatollahs alone;
With humility about how little we know about what's happening inside Iran, this much is clear: it's an Iranian moment and not anyone else's. But the rights of people to protest peacefully and voice their aspirations are universal and governments everywhere should respect that.
The Iranian people are rightfully demanding dignity, less corruption, more opportunity, and greater control over their lives. In looking at US twitter, it seems lost on too many that this is about what Iranians want for Iran, and not about us.
While it’s glaringly obvious that the Obamabots are neck-deep in defending their ex-boss, that begs the question, why?
Could it be due to Obama’s showpiece of foreign policy is finally being exposed as collusion with the Iranian thugocracy? Even if it means success built on a foundation of the battered and bloody corpses of the Iranian freedom marchers.
Leave it to CNN. Only the folks over at the Clinton News Network could actually say with a straight face that the truth is a bad thing.
As reported by The Daily Caller’s Amber Athey, the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends” cited a recent Rasmussen Reports poll citing that President Trump’s approval rating is within the margin of error (+/- 2.5%) as compared to the same point of the initial Obama term.
As the president responded to the news;
While the Fake News loves to talk about my so-called low approval rating, @foxandfriends just showed that my rating on Dec. 28, 2017, was approximately the same as President Obama on Dec. 28, 2009, which was 47%…and this despite massive negative Trump coverage & Russia hoax!
Apparently, a presidential Chief-of-Staff sharing the same definition of patriotism as his boss is now a bad thing.
But that’s only if the C-i-S in question is John Kelly, and the president in question is Donald Trump.
In all fairness, it should also be noted that the ones casting the accusatory finger is none other than the paragon of objectivity and fairness, The New York Times.
As **achem** “reported” by Peter Baker of The Times, the writer bemoans that Kelly hasn’t reigned-in Trump to his satisfaction;
For all of the talk of Mr. Kelly as a moderating force and the so-called grown-up in the room, it turns out that he harbors strong feelings on patriotism, national security and immigration that mirror the hard-line views of his outspoken boss.
Imagine that… a man who spent well over 40 years in the Marine Corps happens to be a solid pro-American patriot. Whoda thunk it?
These are the type of men General John Kelly led as
Commander of all Multinational Forces in western Iraq.
