Britain draws up war plans against Kim Jung-un

I remember once hearing in passing, “As long as we have Britain, Australia, and Canada on our side, the rest of the world can go to hell.”

In light of the nuclear threat aimed directly at the United States and our allies in East Asia and the Western Pacific, we should add Japan and South Korea to that list.

But other than us, the Japanese and the South Koreans, no other nation has, at least publicly, openly declared military cooperation with the Washington-Tokyo-Seoul alliance.

That is, until now.

In recent reports by the Daily Mail and The Telegraph, the Brits are drawing up war plans against North Korea, to include the distinct possibility of deploying the recently commissioned HMS Queen Elizabeth to the Far East.

As the  Daily Mail noted;

The Armed Forces are preparing for a potential war with North Korea, sources have revealed.

Officials have been instructed to draw up plans for how Britain would respond if war broke out with Pyongyang amid heightening tensions between the West and dictator Kim Jong-Un.

One option involves deploying Britain’s new aircraft carrier – due to be handed over to the Navy later this year – to the region before she has undergone flight trials.

Details of the secret operation plan have emerged after Donald Trump warned that ‘only one thing will work’ when it comes to dealing with North Korea, which has continued nuclear and rocket tests despite widespread condemnation.

The Telegraph also cited;

Among the plans disclosed by the Daily Mail is the deployment of the Navy’s newest aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, before it has undergone flight trials.

“We have plenty of ships to send… the Type-45 destroyers, the Type-23 frigates. Britain’s new aircraft carrier could be pressed into service early if things turn south,” a senior Whitehall source told the newspaper.

HMS Queen Elizabeth, which arrived at its home in Portsmouth in August after extensive sea trials, is not due to enter service until 2020.

The possible move to deploy it ahead of schedule drew comparisons with the start of the Falklands War.

“In the Falklands we had to react to an event and HMS Illustrious was accelerated to respond,” a Navy source told the Mail.

“This was a reaction to protect British territory, however. In this case [North Korea], the UK would be part of a united global coalition. We would see what support we could give.”

CPkuGpbWEAAAx1j.jpg largeRussian President Vladimir Putin has long been accused of attempting to resurrect the long dead Russian Empire. If the former KGB Lt. Col.’s moves in the war-torn nation of Syria are any indication of his real intentions, the accusations may be true.

Syria – Pentagon verifies 400% increase of Russian Marines in country

Soviet_naval_infantrymen_DN-SC-91-02252Despite being the official media organ of the American federal government, the VOA (Voice of America) does have a global reputation of fair and objective reporting. Case in point would be VOA’s national security correspondent Jeff Seldin’s report of Sept. 18, 2015 in which he noted the continual beefing up of Russia’s offensive combat forces in war torn Syria. Russian Marines on the move in Syria, showdown with ISIS expected soon

While the American media focuses in on the Trump vs. Fiorina verbal zinger-fest with laser-like precision, foreign news services are picking up the Yankee slack on reporting of the Russian military build-up in the Middle East. As reported by Great Britain’s The Guardian and Israel’s military-centric new media portal DEBKAfile, both on Sept. 17, 2015, and also The Manila Times on Sept. 16, 2015, Russian Naval Infantry (Marines) have left their coastal bases and heading for a showdown with the Islamic jihadists situated further inland.

While most in the American media have essentially turned a blind eye to the Russians flexing their military muscle in Syria, even the handful that have acknowledged the Russian build-up as little more that the expansion of a fairly obscure airstrip on the Syrian coast. And with that expansion comes a handful of Russian Marines for base security and a handful of air defense missiles.Yet the latest from the Middle East is that the Russians have hit the ground with the most offensive weapons since morning breath and body odor.

Obama ignores Bibi’s call for Iran to recognize Israel’s right to exist

The Jerusalem Post (JPost.com) has published what more than a few American news organization have already concluded; Barack Obama and Benjamin Netanyahu personally just don’t like each other. Obama’s ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ strategy against ISIS

Commentary

Twenty centuries ago and beyond, the Romans knew the best way to keep the drooling masses happy – Bread and Circuses. As long as the Great Unwashed had the government slinging freshly baked loaves (or family size bag o’ pork rinds) at them and they were treated to lots and lots of blood and gore, the mouth breathers and knuckle draggers wouldn’t delve into such dangerous activities such as becoming politically aware or civilly active.

Getting China’s attention: A nuclear-armed Japanese and South Korean alliance

A Japanese sailor and ROK Marine.

As China rattles sabers over its newly claimed airspace in the East China Sea directly over Japanese sovereign soil, as reported by the Israeli news portal Arutz Sheva on Dec. 2, 2013, one thing that many international watchers agree would rattle China’s cage would be a militarily-allied and nuclear-armed Japan and Republic of Korea (ROK).

Especially a nuclear Japan and ROK independent of any U.S. military control.

Tensions are still running high since China claimed international airspace over Japan’s  Senkaku Islands, the southernmost of the 3,000 islands comprising the Japanese archipelago.

Possible Israeli-French-Arab alliance on the horizon against a nuclear Iran

2231

Jews and Arabs may band with the French against Iranian nuclear weapons program…

In a case of truth being stranger than fiction, the Jewish State and her surrounding Arab neighbors just may have a real reason to no longer point weapons at each other. Not so much due to groundbreaking peace negotiations finally coming to fruition as it being a case of both the Israeli Jews and the Arab Muslims agreeing that someone else wants to nuke both of them out of existence, as reported by the Israeli-centric news portal the Debka File of Jerusalem on Nov. 17, 2013.
