While President Trump should be prepping for Thursday’s debate, he’s nonetheless making a stump speech in the mid-sized town of Gastonia, NC (population 77,000).
Just so you know, the local media (WMYA of Greenville, SC) is estimating the crowd size at somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000.
Why do I mention this? If for no other reason, the Democrat Party’s nominee for the Vice Presidency of the United States, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) was just yesterday (10/20/2020) was also in the Tar Heel State. Specifically, in Asheville. Roughly 70 miles to the northwest of Gastonia.
While Trump is drawing tens of thousands, C-SPAN has video recorded Harris pulling in a whopping six people.
In all fairness, C-SPAN only filmed six souls in attendance.
From the sound of the applause, there must have been more than the half-dozen caught in-frame. I’d estimate maybe as many as a full baker’s dozen.
