(VIDEO) One Shot, One Kill: Philly District Attorney’s Office ‘Gun Violence Responder’ Greases Thug

Who says you can’t find a quality handgun on-line?

Good guy with a gun…

I’m sure that 28-year-old DeVonte’ Douglass is a perfectly lovely human being. After all, on the crime ridden streets of the City of Brotherly Love, someone who works as a “peer crisis responder” for the DA’s Crisis Assistance, Response, and Engagement for Survivors (CARES) program must be up to his eyeballs in a backlog of pending paperwork.

Strawberry Mansion, it’s a fixer upper.

But it appears that if young DeVonte’ needs some time to clear his in-box, fortune is smiling upon him.

You see, Mr. Douglass has been placed on administrative leave by the city until the matter of him blowing away a “sex worker” (AKA: “male prostitute”) who tried to rob him at gunpoint in Philadelphia’s crime-ridden Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

As reported by the fine folks at the Philadelphia Inquirer;

A Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office employee who works with victims of gun violence has been placed on administrative leave and is being investigated for fatally shooting a man who tried to rob him Tuesday morning, law enforcement officials said.

DeVonte’ Douglass, who aids victims of gun violence as a peer crisis responder in the office’s Crisis Assistance, Response, and Engagement for Survivors (CARES) program, is being investigated for fatally shooting Vernon Harris, 31, just before 10 a.m. Tuesday in the 2600 block of North Napa Street in the city’s Strawberry Mansion section, authorities said.
