I’m not much of a fan of Newsweek. I’ve known for decades that this particular magazine was little more than one of the many reliable lapdogs for the Jackass Party.
Here in August of 2022, so-called ‘journalists’ at Newsweek will make damn good and sure that Sleepy Joe will always be protected, no matter what.
So, when Newsweek has the guts to cite a White House insider (to defend and deflect bad things coming Biden’s way), I’ll tend to believe them.
With that aside, in the tweet below, CBS reporter Ed O’Keefe cites that the White House is falling back on the Sgt. Schultz defense.

Isn’t that interesting? So, if the Demented One didn’t give the official thumbs-up for the FBI raid, who did?
It’s already widely known that approximately 30 FBI AND DoJ agents/officials were in on the early morning raid of Mar-a-Lago.
Like I just rhetorically asked, who authorized this? Biden’s White House says they only knew of this whole debacle via social media.
If Biden’s unnamed senior official is to be believed, that kinda narrows it down, huh? It’s either the US Attorney General Merrick Garland or Director Christopher Wray of the FBI.
The reliably pro-Biden Newsweek on Aug. 9, 2022, cites from one of their inhouse experts;
“Christopher Wray was appointed by Donald Trump. Christopher Wray blessed this search warrant. He had to before he sent it over in Garland. He blessed this search warrant.
Interestingly enough, Newsweek reported just a few days ago that this whole mess belongs directly in the lap of Director Wray (emphasis mine);
The senior Justice Department source says that Garland was regularly briefed on the Records Act investigation, and that he knew about the grand jury and what material federal prosecutors were seeking. He insists, though, that Garland had no prior knowledge of the date and time of the specific raid, nor was he asked to approve it. “I know it’s hard for people to believe,” says the official, “but this was a matter for the U.S. Attorney and the FBI.”
FBI director Christopher Wray ultimately gave his go-ahead to conduct the raid, the senior Justice official says. “It really is a case of the Bureau misreading the impact.”
But just today, Garland took to the airwaves to state that he “personally approved” of the raid.
No matter how you slice it, someone is lying to us.
Is Biden’s White House lying to us?
Is the DoJ lying to us?
Is the FBI lying to us?
Is Newsweek lying to us?
Is CBS News lying to us?
As I said… someone is lying to us.
