San Bernadino County; Why Democrats Shouldn’t Stand in the Way of SBC Becoming the Next State

Larger than more than more than a few states, California’s San Bernadino County is the largest county in the entire nation. It’s also one of the remaining strongholds of conservativism in the Golden State.

As it turns out, the residents of SBC have given county officials the green light to legally breaking away and laying the foundation for statehood, as reported by Breitbart.com. It’s a fair bet the good folks of SBC have pretty much had it with Sacramento’s hard-left dictates.

However, as the last 100 years of American history and tradition have shown that only through some shrewd congressional horse-trading between the Republicans and Democrats, two states at a time would be admitted to the country. The unwritten deal was one Republican state, one Democrat state.

If the DNC happens to have any real power and influence with Gavin Newsom’s super-majority Democrat Party of California, they would do best if they actually stood out of the way. Maybe even cut Riverside, Kern and Inyo loose as well.

After all, haven’t the Dems been promising Washington, DC, their own statehood for decades now? Well, yes they have.

If and when numbers 51 and 52 come into being, neither DC nor SBC would have a problem qualifying for statehood. While our Constitution doesn’t give any specifics as to what would qualify for statehood, the United States has for more than a couple of centuries relied on the Northwest Ordinance of July 13, 1787.

As long as any given region has 60,000 American citizens, that’s pretty much all they need. After all, SBC has 2.1 million residents, while DC has nearly 700,000.
