“… but you can’t take the Democrat Party out of the boy.”
For a brief, shining moment, it looked as if we just might see the return of the Jack Kennedy Democrats.
You know…
- The kind of Democrat that was really hard core anti-communist
- The kind of Democrat that actually believed in a strong military
- The kind of Democrat who believed that the Middle Class was being overtaxed
- The kind of Democrat who actually defended unborn children
Yep, in RFK, Jr., we were looking for another Jack Kennedy. Looks like all we got was the corpulent, bloated, rotted corpse (and soul) of Uncle Teddy.
Case in point: In the recent tweet by RFK, Jr. of his coming out against the recent SCOTUS ruling that race should NOT be a determining factor in college admissions.
Looks like I’m not the only one coming to the realization that the Democrat Party of the 21st Century is the official party of victims.
An awful lot of the responses to RFK, Jr’s tweet are quite telling;
Regarding the Supreme Court banning affirmative action in higher ed — I know many Americans feel that purely race-based decisions are unfair. However, this feeling misses important context. The effects of racist policies going back centuries are now self-perpetuating.

Well, my interest in the Kennedy candidacy has just dropped 75%. Too bad. He was interesting for a short period of time.

If you want a healthy society, you must reward merit. You must reward hard work. You must reward skill, capability, and responsibility, and effort.
Govt should be leveling the playing field, ensuring equal opportunity. Not enforcing quotas at the expense of merit.

I disagree with you on this. The victimization and elimination of meritocracy drives down any society.
I am Hispanic, a migrant, and I don’t want any special treatment from any institution. Laws should not favor anyone.

You had so many people on your side until this nonsense. People should be judged on merit not on skin color or ethnicity! If you want to hand out some extra scholarships to underprivileged kids with slightly lower grades then fine, but that is NOT what they were doing. That…
