New New England?
It’s been well over 60-years since a new state has been added to our Union. So, who could be the latest addition(s)?
- Puerto Rico, possibly in a union with the US Virgin Islands? With or without the USVI, Puerto Rico probably has the best shot at statehood anytime soon.
- Washington, DC has been mentioned on and off throughout the years, but due to hyper-Leftie politics, statehood isn’t in the cards.
- I remember as a kid there were minor calls for the state of “Pacifica” (a combination of Guam, the Northern Marianas, and American Samoa).
- As many of us are aware, there are still propositions for the more conservative inland counties of California breakaway to form “New California.”
- There was even a short-lived move for Sicily to saddle-up with the USA at the end of World War II.
- Even to this day, there are grassroots calls in certain Canadian Prairie Provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba) to eventually become part of the USA.Undoubtedly my Swaney, McBride and Mahoney ancestors would be ready to rise from their collective graves to literally take up arms at the latest request to become our 51st state.
They aren’t even proud to be British. What makes anyone think they’s be proud to be American?
As seen in the video below, one of my favorite news services, GB News (live and free on Youtube) anchorman Darren Grimes is calling for President Trump to annex Britain, even if it means invading (with tongue firmly placed in cheek).
Personally, I’m dead set against this for the following;
- No US citizenship to millions of Islamic jihadists and their allies.
- No US citizenship to tens of millions of privileged, white Born-Again Marxists. We already have too many.
- Any and all Britons desirous of US citizenship, do like my European ancestors did; get up off your dead asses and do the work of becoming an American.
