Just me, but I get the feeling that if Volodymir Zelinsky ever ordered Joe Biden to jump, there are only two responses Slow Joe could possibly give;
- How high?
- When can I come down?
Now that the dust has at least somewhat settled from yesterday’s Trumpalm fire-bombing of Zelensky in the Oval Office, maybe this is a good time for everyone to take a breath.
After all, Zelensky was at the White House to ink a multi-billion dollar trade agreement with the United States.
As noted by columnist Tom Tradup of TownHall.com (emphasis mine);
On the Salem news program “THIS WEEK ON CAPITOL HILL with Tony Perkins,” U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson was enthusiastically outlining the broad outline of President Trump’s plan to sign a deal with Zelenskyy, which would cede fifty percent of Ukraine’s rare earth minerals to the United States…potentially generating billions of dollars in revenue to—in part—repay America for all the support given Ukraine in the war with Russia.
Legacy media reflexively pounced on Trump, instantly declaring that the White House meeting had “devolved into a shouting match” and berating our President and Vice President for standing up for America.
“Billions of dollars” you say? Just how many billions of dollars?
As reported by the sometimes objective TheHill.com;
Trump said he wants Ukraine to provide about $500 billion worth of rare earth elements, suggesting it as repayment for U.S. military and economic aid provided to Kyiv since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in Feb. 2022.
As noted by K.T. McFarland of FoxNews.com, if this agreement had actually gone through, instead of American troops as boots on the ground in Ukraine militarily, it would be “thousands of American engineers, miners, builders and even bankers on the ground in eastern Ukraine, serving as a security guarantee to Ukraine.”
Nonetheless, Zelensky is adamant that Western troops be deployed to his nation to guarantee any future peace with his Russian neighbor.
As seen at the 20:50 mark of the below video, VP Vance was answering a reporter’s question when Zelensky took it upon himself to start peppering Vance with questions. That’s when things started to go off the rails.
Never mind that not only was Zelensky just moments away from a half-a-trillion-dollar deal, he also was just moments away from a guarantee to remain as the president of Ukraine.
Personally, it was at that moment that I could almost see Russian tanks rolling into Kiev… while Zelensky is still waiting for his next arms shipment to hopefully show-up from his European sugar daddies.
To Pres. Zelensky, I wish him luck on the Europeans giving him an unending flow of cash and weapons.
But wait… the European elites don’t even spend enough to stand-up and arm their own militaries.
