How many no-doubt-about-it, full-fledged epidemiologists would you say there are in the United States?

Maybe a couple hundred, 500, a full thousand?

Sorry. You’re way, WAY off. According to the official website to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are 7,500 active epidemiologists working in the United States as of May, 2020.

Just keep in mind that I’m not factoring in related fields, such as environmental health, occupational health, biostatistics, toxicology, genetics and environmental exposure assessment.

Undoubtedly, there are thousands upon thousands of the above-mentioned folks also plying their trade throughout the nation.

Anyhow, CNN managed to find one of those 7,500 epidemiologists up in one of those cheese states who also happened to fit in nicely with their particular agenda.

With quite the fear-inducing headline, Travis Caldwell of CNN reports (emphasis mine);

A Covid-19 ‘viral blizzard’ is about to hit the US, expert says, with ‘millions’ to be infected soon

(CNN)The coronavirus will hit millions of Americans in a “viral blizzard” within a few weeks as infections from the Omicron variant pile on top of Delta, an expert predicts.

Already, hospitalizations are rising as the holiday season gets into full swing. Long lines for Covid-19 testing formed Thursday in metro areas, including New York, Boston and Miami.

The Delta variant remains a problem. And Omicron, with its high transmissibility, could strike millions more soon, said Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.

“We’re really just about to experience a viral blizzard,” Osterholm told CNN’s Erin Burnett on Thursday. “In the next three to eight weeks, we’re going to see millions of Americans are going to be infected with this virus, and that will be overlaid on top of Delta, and we’re not yet sure exactly how that’s going to work out.”

In the meantime, I’ve found quite the interesting article from CNBC (emphasis mine);

Covid symptoms linked to the new omicron variant have been described as “extremely mild” by the South African doctor who first raised the alarm over the new strain.

“It actually started with a male patient who’s around the age of 33 … and he said to me that he’s just [been] extremely tired for the past few days and he’s got these body aches and pains with a bit of a headache,” she told the BBC.

The patient didn’t have a sore throat, she said, but more of a “scratchy throat” but no cough or loss of taste or smell — symptoms that have been associated with previous strains of the coronavirus.

Wait a sec… body aches, a scratchy throat, a bit of a headache? It it just me, or does this sound just a wee bit like the common cold?

One other thing. I recently did a post entitled Johns Hopkins, CDC Stats: The REAL Numbers on COVID Deaths wherein I used the same formulae as the CDC and Johns Hopkins University proving that the “hundreds of thousands have died from COVID” scare tactics used by the Lefticrats is simply pure hyperbole.

Bottom line, hundreds of thousands have died WITH the Coronavirus. Of that, there is no doubt. Keep in mind that 94 percent of those also had an average of nearly three other co-morbidities (2.9 to be exact), such as emphysema, cancer, HIV/AIDS, etc., during their last days and weeks on Earth.

However, those who died of COVID-19 alone was a mere six percent. So, the 800,000 dead that Biden keeps yapping about is in reality 48,000.

That’s roughly the same number that die every year from the seasonal flu.
