What Every Conservative NEEDS to Know: The Differences Between Socialists, Communists, Fascists and Classical Liberalism

If there’s one thing that Leftists delight in doing, it’s referring to us as “fascists.” Predictably, they really don’t know what they’re talking about.

I guess they don’t cover such things if one’s majoring in Lesbian Dance Theory.

Anyhow, here’s a quick primer on the differences between the previously mentioned political schools of though. Please keep in mind that socialism, communism and fascism all place importance of overpowering central governments over the individual right of the citizenry;

    • Socialism: Often misunderstood as the reigning type of government in Scandinavia, socialism is actually the government having control of every aspect of your life. Not only does a socialist government own and control all business, both industrial and service, the same government controls housing, medical, as well as what your income may be. Socialism can also embrace democracy, but by socialism’s very nature, democracy withers and dies on the socialist vine.
    • Communism: Economically, much the same as socialism. Politically, the state is what’s all-important, not the rights of individuals. Private individual ownership of property and/or business is strictly forbidden.  Communism does have the façade of democracy, but we have to be honest… if there’s only one name on the ballot, that’s not much of a democracy. One other important distinction, communism has no room for dissent. See Soviet genocide and gulags as well as the Chinese “Cultural Revolution” and the massive incarceration of the Uyghur people.
    • Fascism: Much like communism, under fascism the state is all-important, even leaning towards worship of the state. But here is where fascism differs from both socialism and communism; fascism allows private ownership of both personal property and business, especially industry. But here’s the kicker – private industry is legal, but the government dictates what and how much can be produced. Like communism, individual freedoms are quickly and often violently squashed.
    • Classical Liberalism: Founded in the late 18th century as opposing absolute monarchies, classical liberalism stresses the liberty of the people as well as small central forms of government. From the rights of individuals, republican forms of democracy, and capitalism based on Christian principles (IE: Not worshipping profit), classical liberalism is better known today as “Reagan Republicanism” and “Trumpism.”
