There are two rather large cultural battles taking place that an awful lot of Americans are unaware of. Interestingly enough, both of them happen to see US Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) at the center of both.
First off, there’s an awful lot of ink being spilled in newsrooms today of the US Marine Corps somehow being “leaderless.” Here’re just a few examples;
- The Hill via Yahoo News – Tuberville’s hold leaves Marines leaderless for first time in 164 years
- Forbes magazine – Marine Corps Is Leaderless For First Time Since 1850s—Here’s Why
- New York Magazine – The Marine Corps Is Leaderless Because a Senator Is Mad About Abortion
Here’s the truth: The Marine Corps isn’t leaderless. General Eric M. Smith, USMC, served as the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps until yesterday.
It was on 10 July, 2023, that Gern. Smith assumed the title of Acting Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Period, full stop, end of story. I simply could give a damn less that the hysterics are coming of the media.
But now comes the question as to why isn’t someone assigned as the Commandant, period?
Simple… as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Tuberville has slammed the breaks on American taxpayers paying for abortions for members of the Department of Defense, to include uniformed military members.
As reported by WKRG of Mobile, Alabama, (Next Media); Emphasis mine.
“The Senator also grabbed national headlines this week. For the last five months, he has blocked military promotions as a member of the Armed Services Committee in protest of the Pentagon’s abortion policy.”
“Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, states have been able to vote the abortion issue up or down. He says that is not happening on the federal level. Instead, they are trying to get abortions paid for by the taxpayers to every form of federal government. He says the White House has “dictated” the law that is supposed to go through the representatives in Congress.”
“In the meantime, more than 200 military promotions are on hold and Tuberville’s actions could delay the confirmation of President Biden’s pick for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.”
The second fight is one that the media certainly doesn’t want to talk about. And that’s that there is a civil war taking place in global Catholicism.
On one side is Francis and his sycophants along with their dwindling flocks.
On the other, Cardinal Burke, Archbishop Carlo Viganò, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, the entire SSPX, and millions of other faithful Catholics that the media wish would just go away.
Enter Tommy Tuberville, a member in good standing with Auburn, Alabama’s Church of Christ, who’s actually doing something of substance to stop the ongoing slaughter of children.
Without getting into the weeds, I’ll simply ask; where’s Francis? Where’s Cardinal Dolan? Where’s Cardinal Gregory? Where’s the entire apparatchik of the post-Vatican II Deep Church?
