I’ll be perfectly honest. I’m not 100 percent sure that this particular air traffic controller is a diversity hire, but the explanation this gal gives to a pilot with 15-years’ experience is enough to give anyone at least a mild case of the jitters.
By the way, “DTO” is the designation for Denton Enterprise Airport, located roughly 20 miles north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Merto Area. “TWR” is the designation for any given airport’s air traffic control tower.
On a personal note, this is just another reason why I’ll never, and I mean NEVER, set foot on an airplane ever again.
