(VIDEO) Again, Biden Lies About Football, US Naval Academy, Roger Staubach

What would you say about someone who never served in the military, but habitually lies to servicemen of his supposed brush with the US armed forces that never happened?

During my time in the Marine Corps, we’d refer to an individual like that as a shit-filled phony son-of-a-bitch.

As things turn out, this is exactly the case of what’s going in with America’s Roomba-in-Chief.

while speaking at the commencement ceremony for the US Military Academy at West Point, Biden fell back on his already-used fantasy of once being appointed to the US Naval Academy at Annapolis.

As reported by the New York Post back in 2023, he told the same lie at the Air Force Academy not only in the same year, and also at the USNA in 2022.

But back to Biden’s most recent selling of snake oil.

As noted by reporter Patrick Reilly of the New York Post;

President Biden repeated a claim that he turned down an appointment to the Naval Academy, where he said he intended to play football, during his commencement speech at West Point on Saturday.

Biden, 81, told the graduates that he was “one of 10” appointed to the naval academy by Republican Delaware Sen. J. Caleb Boggs years before he’d go on to defeat him in the 1972 election to become a US Senator.

“I was appointed by the fella I ran against when I was 29 years old to the Naval Academy. I was one of 10. I wanted to play football,” Biden said in his remarks.

“And I’d found out two days earlier they had a quarterback named Roger Staubach and a halfback named Joe Bellino — I said, ‘I’m not going there.’ I went to Delaware. Not a joke,’ the president said.

Bellino and Staubach are the only two Navy football players to win the Heisman Trophy. Staubach, also an NFL Hall of Famer, played his first game for Navy in 1962 and graduated in 1964. Bellino played his last game in January 1961 — four years before he was thinking about attending the Naval Academy.

Biden was a standout high school football player at Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware, where he graduated in 1961. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965. He reportedly played football his freshman year but did not finish the season.

Biden’s 2008 autobiography “Promises to Keep” notably does not mention the Naval Academy.

Lt (JG) Staubach during his one-year tour of duty in Vietnam.

The problem with lies is that you have to tell more of them to cover your ass.

Also reported by Steve Nelson of the NY Post, further proof that Biden’s story has more holes in it than a drawer full of cheese graters;

The Naval Academy did not respond to The Post’s request for comment but previously said it does not possess applications from the 1960s.

Biden told a similar version of the story at the Naval Academy in May of last year, saying he applied to Annapolis with a letter from then-Delaware Sen. J. Caleb Boggs.

But the year he cited — 1965 — is the same year he graduated from the University of Delaware and the academy doesn’t offer graduate degrees [implying that it simply wouldn’t make any sense for Biden to attend the USNA just to earn a second bachelor’s degree].

Curators at the Delaware Historical Association in Wilmington were able to find records of Boggs’ academy nominations for just one year in the early 1960s and could not locate records for either 1965 or the more plausible years 1960 or 1961.

As vice president in 2010, Biden told a slightly different version of the story at the Naval Academy.

At that time, Biden said he was “considered” by Boggs — rather than nominated, as he claimed in more recent tellings. He said that happened in 1960, which also is problematic because Boggs didn’t become a senator until 1961.

A couple of other points I’d like to raise concerning this numbskull trying to pass himself off as some kind of football super-stud;

  • None of the service academies offer any type of athletic scholarships.
  • Biden attended one of the more expensive private schools in all of Delaware (so much for that “Working-class Joe” persona). That means his competition was just other rich white kids. No wonder he was cut from the Blue Hens squad during his freshman year at UD. He had no idea what it was like to get your dick knocked loose by some inner-city black kid.
