Simple Solutions for Neo-Con Chickenhawks Advocating Committing our Troops to War

Lindsey Clinton: All-American neo-con.

First things first; I fully understand that just about everyone involved in the Russian invasion of Ukraine has a certain amount of dirt under their fingernails. No one involved in this conflict is squeaky clean.

With that said, I’m of the opinion that Vladimir Putin is still the same KGB thug that he’s been almost his entire life. As the old saying goes, you can take the boy out of the Communist Party… well, I’m sure you see where I’m going with this.

Besides, I have a soft spot in my heart seeing everyday citizens being issued true assault rifles to drive out an invader. Two weeks ago, a plumber; farmer; store owner; even a housewife. This week, a soldier.

Just me, but I think this is exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they crafted the Second Amendment.

Even though I agree with Ukraine in principle, my support for the Kiev government goes, it sure as hell isn’t all encompassing.

With the specification and qualifications said, suffice it to say that I’m totally against any member of the American armed forces be ordered by our government into combat against the Russians in the Ukraine, to include aviators participating in any sort of “no-fly zone.”

I’m also dead-set against any old-farts like me publicly advocating that someone else from our country be ordered to engage in arial, naval or ground combat in this particular war zone.

If anyone from any nation on the planet feels the need to take arms in this war, hey… go right ahead. It’s no great secret that both the Ukrainians AND the Russians are welcoming foreign fighters with open arms.

So by all means, after you.

But here’s where we get down to the nitty-gritty.

There are plenty of neo-con chickenhawks that want either their own nation or other groups of nations to officially saddle-up with Ukraine.

Let’s cut through the bullshit, shall we? This is a European problem. That means it’s incumbent upon the Europeans to find a solution to this.

Everyone already knows that if ANY uniformed member of NATO takes active participation in this fight, all bets are off. Global thermo-nuclear war is now the soup de jour.

Folks, once a nuke gets slung, no matter how big or how small the nuclear yield, things will be on automatic pilot. It will take on a life of its own.

Nothing that the likes of Joe Biden, Boris Johnson or Emmanuel Macron do or say will make a damn bit of difference. Within the first hour of the first impact, things will already be out of control.

So, as far as NATO getting involved, that just isn’t in the cards.

But back to this being a European problem, there are plenty of non-NATO European nations that can ally themselves to the Zelensky government.

If the neo-con chickenhawks really want a European solution to this European problem, why shouldn’t the following (and technically non-aligned) European nations collectively or individually enforce a no-fly zone?

  • Sweden

  • Finland

  • Serbia

  • Moldova

  • Austria

  • Ireland

  • Switzerland

If that’s unacceptable and if certain NATO governments insist the likes of Britain, Italy and France get involved, the answer really is right in front of their collective faces.

Just have your nation (or nations) legally renounce their membership(s) in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Yes, it really is that simple.
