There’s good news coming out of the Garden State, and of course, there’s bad news.
In a nutshell, the entire town council and mayor of East Hanover, New Jersey, have all jumped ship to the Republican Party.
On the other side of the coin, two GOP council members from differing municipalities have been murdered within a matter of days. Both murdered Republicans were killed no more than 15 miles from each other.
On the good side, Paul Bois of Breitbart.com is reporting that all the honchos of the township of East Hanover, New Jersey, are no longer members of the Jackass Party, but are now all proud Republicans;
The mayor of East Hanover, New Jersey, and all four members of the township council have switched from the Democrat to the Republican Party.
In a statement, Mayor Joseph Pannullo said that the party flip in a township of 11,105 people will be the best move to represent the constituents, deriding what he called the “nastiness” on social media that further drives a wedge between voters.
“Municipal leaders have a responsibility to best represent their constituents, and it is our belief this change of party is in the best interest of the community,” said Pannullo, as reported by the New Jersey Globe.
“As the nastiness, rhetoric, and social media vitriol of national politics continues to infiltrate local governance, we collectively determined this was the best course of action to keep the focus on local issues impacting our community – combating the overburdening and unrealistic fair-share housing mandates, keeping taxes stable, enhancing our parks and investing in public safety needs to be our local priorities. Every decision my administration makes is about putting East Hanover first; this is no different,” he added.
Pannullo will be joined by Council President Frank DeMaio Jr, Councilwoman Carolyn Jandoli, and Councilmen Brian Brokaw Sr., and Michael Martorelli. Morris County GOP Chair Laura Marie Ali said the party welcomes the switch.
On the flipside, a Republican councilwoman was murdered in a hail of bullets a mere 15 miles removed from the murder of another Republican member of a different town council. Hannah Nightingale of ThePostMillenial.com reports;
A Republican New Jersey council member has been shot dead, exactly one week following the fatal shooting of GOP Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour.
51-year-old Milford Councilman Russell Heller was found dead on Wednesday just after 7 am in the Somerset parking lot of the local energy company PSE&G where Heller worked, according to the New York Post.
Police identified 58-year-old former employee Gary Curtis as the suspect, and discovered him dead in his car from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say he shot himself around three and a half hours after he allegedly shot Heller.
The fatal shooting of Heller comes exactly one week after Sayreville Councilwoman Dwumfour was fatally shot in her SUV outside her home. Heller was found dead around 15 miles from where Dwumfour’s body was discovered.
Of course, the Establishment Media is completely ignoring both murders.
