Biden’s America; Seven Times the Money for Ukraine, No Pay Raise for US Troops

Is it any wonder why we have our own troops relying on food banks?

Oh, I certainly remember the days early in my military career when my wife and I could only afford spaghetti (no meat) and Marth White cornbread mix. Yeah, it was embarrassing and more than a little humbling, but we dealt with it.

Nonetheless, it still pisses me off to hear that young military families have to rely on SNAP and food banks just to put the bare minimum on the table for their families.

Honest to God, I wish the military would go back to the old days where if you were below the pay grade of E-5, you couldn’t get married unless you had permission of your company commander.

But we aren’t… and kids are suffering. To add to the (hunger) pains, Biden will nix any plans for a proposed pay raise for our troops. A pay raise that specifically was aimed at helping the enlisted.

To add insult to injury, word is out that even though Biden will kill a much-needed pay raise for the troops, he’s ensured that SEVEN times the proposed pay increase was actually pumped to the Kiev-government.

As reported by Sarah Arnold of TownHall.com;

The Biden Administration is facing intense criticism after shooting down a proposal to give U.S. military troops a pay raise.

The House Armed Services Committee’s (HASC) draft of the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) proposed a $24 billion pay raise to enlisted U.S. service members. However, the Biden Administration said that it “strongly opposes” approving such a “significant” and “permanent” pay raise, citing budgetary constraints.

On the contrary, the Democratic administration recently just approved spending nearly seven times the amount to fund Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, the U.S. government has spent $175 billion on aid to Ukraine, including its most recent aid package of $61 billion to the foreign country in April.

The Biden Administration has also allocated $2.3 billion for humanitarian efforts to assist those affected by the conflict, including refugees and displaced individuals.

Last week, President Joe Biden begged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to forgive him for the months-long congressional stall, resulting in the country not receiving any funds.
