Not dead and gone, just a change of dance partners.
It makes me sick to listen to all these supposed Republicans referring to the likes of Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, Matt Gaetz, Vivek Ramaswamy and Robert Kennedy, Jr. as somehow being unqualified for various positions in the Trump Administration.
I’ve damn near had my fill of the Sunshine Patriots now bellyaching about Trump’s nominees. Especially with just how many of them who voted for Sleepy Joe’s utterly disastrous nominees.
Here it is — a by-name list of each and every allegedly Republican senator who voted for some of Biden’s more incendiary nominations to his cabinet.
From the official website of the US Senate, the vote to confirm Antony Blinken as the Secretary of State. War on the European Continent, war in Israel, Stone-Age rebel tribesmen in Yemen are attacking American vessels, an ascending China, etc, etc. Great job, Tony.
Blinken’s confirmation passed by a vote of 78-22. If the Republicans would have stayed strong, it would have forced a 50-50 vote, triggering either VP Harris cast the tie-breaker, or Biden pulling Blinken out of contention.

Once again, the official website of the US Senate cites that the vote to confirm Lloyd Austin as the Secretary of Defense. What a rousing success. After 83 Purple Heart medals were issued (13 KIA, 70 WIA) in the Great Kabul Runaway, Austin somehow managed to keep his job.
Under Austin’s watch, the Taliban also became one of the leading military powers in Central Asia. Great gob, Lloyd. Austin was confirmed by a vote of 93-2-5.

Perhaps it would be easier if I just listed those who voted against Austin;
- Hawley (R-MO), Nay
- Lee (R-UT), Nay
Again, from the official website of the US Senate vote to confirm Alejandro Mayorkas to be Secretary of Homeland Security. You know, the same guy who lied to the House of Representatives and the American people by stating “The border is secure.” Never mind the 15-20 million who literally swamped the border… just like Biden told them to do.
Mayorkas was confirmed by a vote of 56-42-1. If the Republicans would have stayed strong, it would have forced a 50-50 vote, triggering either VP Harris cast the tie-breaker, or Biden pulling Mayorkas out of contention.

When the US Senate voted to confirm Merrick Garland to be Attorney General, he was confirmed by a vote of 70-30.
Keep in mind that Garland is the moving force in the weaponizing of the Department of Justice. All the Democrats needed was one Republican vote – they got 20.
