Fortunes and budgets that were measured in the millions was just so ’60s and ’70s.
Then came those whacky ’90s when billions were all the rage. Of course, during the first twenty years of the 21st century, trillion became a word we all know… maybe too well.
So here we are, racing our way through the third decade. Those who are unaware that our national debt is careening out of control of nearly $30 trillion.
If that isn’t insane enough, the Lefticrat wet-dream of totalitarianism comes gift wrapped as something called The Green New Deal. Depending on who you listen to, the cost for this Charlie Foxtrot is somewhere between $93 trillion to $98 trillion (Investopedia cites $93 trillion, the everything fiscal website Rouge Review cites $98 trillion).
Keep in mind that everyone is under the impression that this is “only” 10 years worth of spending and that the cost will be under the $100 trillion mark.
Folks, there’s a better chance of me becoming a registered Democrat and worshipping Satan (pretty much both are one in the same.
Anyhow, $100 trillion is one/tenth of $1 quadrillion. That’s written out as $1,000,000,000,000,000.
That’s a one followed by 15 zeros. This is the legacy that those in 2022 and beyond that our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren may have to bear.
