In this corner… Donald “Don’t Piss me Off” Tusk!
Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk (yes, that’s really his name) looks like he’d knock your teeth out of your head if you dared cross him.
On the other hand, French president Emmanuel Macron looks like he’s perpetually prepared to offer a soft shoulder for his biologically ambiguous “wife” to gently weep upon.
While I don’t have any Polish blood flowing through my veins (but wish I did), suffice it to say that I’ve always been quite the admirer of both Poland’s religious faith as well as their martial prowess.
From Polish King John III Sobieski saving Christian Europe in the 17th century, to 2016’s Jesus Christ formally being crowned as the King of Poland, it’s Poland’s faith and strength that may be Europe’s last hope.

But back to PM Tusk, as noted by the Daily Caller (emphasis mine);
All Polish men will now undergo military training as Poland seeks to double the size of its army and pursue nuclear capabilities in the event of a war with Russia.
Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk unveiled these plans in a speech to the Polish parliament, the Sejm, Friday. “We are preparing large-scale military training for every adult man in Poland. Our goal is to finalize the plan by year’s end to ensure a well-trained reserve force ready for potential threats,” Tusk announced.
“We’re talking about the need to have an army of half a million in Poland, including the reservists,” he said.
While Tusk even mentioning Poland attaining and deploying nuclear weapons, that would naturally raise eyebrows. To that, I rhetorically have to ask; who are we (or anyone else) to “authorize” or somehow give permission to the Polish people regarding how they defend themselves?
If Poland so desires to add nuclear weaponry to their arsenal, that’s Poland’s business.
In the meantime, French President Macron is making some rather 1969s de Gaulle-ish noise of France being the nuclear savior of the continent.
As reported by CNN (emphasis mine);
France will consider extending the protection of its nuclear arsenal to its allies, French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday, while warning that Europe needs to be ready for the United States to not “remain by our side” in the Ukraine-Russia war.
“Our nuclear deterrence protects us, it is complete, sovereign, French from end to end,” Macron said of France’s nuclear arsenal. “This protects us much more than many of our neighbors.”
Just keep in mind, folks… as the fictitious Gen. Webb stated in the film, Last of the Mohicans;
Kindly inform Major Heyward that he has little to fear from this General Marquis de Montcalm in the first place; and scant need of a colonial militia in the second because the French haven’t the nature for war. Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate voluptuousness with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight.
Could Poland actually have a military of half-a-million fighters? Also keep in mind that Poland has roughly the same population as California. At 37.6 million, Poland can easily field a military of 500 thousand.
Another thing, while Finland has nearly one million troops (both active and reserve). Finland also has a population (5.6 million) roughly the same as South Carolina.
Final thought – I personally believe that if there’s one thing that Vladimir Putin would be deathly afraid of, it’d be a nuclear armed Warsaw.
“Our nuclear deterrence protects us, it is complete, sovereign, French from end to end,” Macron said of France’s nuclear arsenal. “This protects us much more than many of our neighbors.”
