(VIDEO) Just Stay Dumb; Jeff Daniels Pretends His Opinion is Somehow Important to Us

Feel the burn. Literally so stupid, it hurts.

I don’t care how well you act; how well you front a band; or even how well you play a certain sport. Conservative, liberal, middle-of-the-road, whatever. Just don’t buy off on your own hype.

Yes, I’m talking to you, George Clooney; and you, Ted Nugent; and you LeBron James. Guys, you’ve made your fortunes by being entertainers. Do just that – entertain.

Robert De Niro. It’s all about the illusion.

To be perfectly honest, the worst offenders are the actors. For whatever bizarre reason, a hefty percentage of actors honestly believe just because they played a president or a war hero or a crime-busting cop, that somehow makes them qualified as domestic and foreign policy experts, tactical and strategic geniuses, or as the best detective this side of Allan Pinkerton.

Remember, folks… actors pretend for a living. Don’t ever ask an actor to describe “the real me.” They have no clue who their real selves are. They can only parrot the words that someone else puts in their mouths.

Now we come to actor Jeff Daniels. In a slow-pitch softball interview by (reliable lapdog) Nicole Wallace, Daniels opined that a Kamala Harris presidency would be like that of President Abraham Lincoln’s. In light that Honest Abe shit all over the constitutional right of habeas corpus, he might be on to something there.

Not quite done being dumb, dumber, and dumbest, Daniels went on to say that a Democrat-controlled America would be “you know, kind of like Jesus did.”

BREAKING: FBI Officially Spied on ‘Radical-Traditional’ Catholic Priest

“Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) released documents indicating the FBI’s targeting of traditionalist Catholics was much more widespread than originally thought…”

First things first – I’m a Catholic; I consider myself as a ‘traditional’ Catholic; I’ve attended Mass as celebrated by the priestly Order of the FSSPX (Fraternal Society of St. Pius X or simply, ‘The Society‘) and I will again in the future. (VIDEO) House GOP Approves Amendment to Rename Kennedy Center Opera House After Melania Trump

Perhaps proving how little I care about opera overall or the Kennedy Center specifically, only in researching this article did I find that the Kennedy Center consists of the following;

  • A concert hall
  • Two different theaters
  • An opera house
  • Two other minor performance stages
  • Five different lounge and reception areas (AKA: “Bars“).

Now I find that Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) has submitted before the House Appropriation Committee that the opera house be renamed, “First Lady Melania Trump Opera House.”

As noted by reporter Michael Katz of Newsmax.com, Rep. Simpson stated;

“This is an excellent way to recognize [Melania Trump’s] support and commitment to promoting the arts…”

Yahoo news notes that the Democrats are less than thrilled;

Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, opposed the change and alleged it’s part of giving Trump power to run the Kennedy Center “with very little oversight” from Congress.

Hmm… just changing the name lessens Congressional oversight? How does that work?

Seen in the video below, the vote was approved 33-25. Just me, but the Democrats voting against this simply reinforces my belief that TDS is real.

The Real Numbers Behind Gavin Newsom Driving California Off an Economic Cliff

Would you buy a used car from this man?

California schemin’…

More than a few Democrats consider the January 6th incident to be the most violent and dangerous moment in US history. More so than Pearl Harbor; more so than the JFK assassination; more so than 9/11.

By that fevered logic, one would surmise that the completion of the Fresno River Viaduct (of the state-ran high-speed railway plan) is now one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Before I go any further, allow me to rhetorically ask, “Isn’t a ‘state-run’ anything essentially Communism?” Just me, but isn’t building, operating, then maintaining railroads something better left to privately owned railroad companies?

Now back to the topic at hand. Two political topics in regard to California are making the news nation-wide;

  • Gavin Newsom dipping his toe into the 2028 presidential election.
  • A microscopic section of the Los Angeles to San Francisco high-speed rail line has finally been completed.

Suffice it to say that I can’t believe the voting population of any state could be more gullible than California Democrats, so I’ll focus on the latter (which proves just how gullible California Democrats really are).

But before I give you the REAL numbers on this high-speed railway boondoggle, allow me to point out just a few facts that the Democrats aren’t ready to share with the world.

Billions going nowhere.

It’s true that when first elected governor, as noted by the official GOP website of the California State Senate in 2018, the Golden State actually had a $10 billion surplus. In 2024, not so much. The same website notes that in 2024, California now has a budget deficit of $45 billion.

Perhaps what’s best known to the American people of how Newsome managed to manage a $55 billion swing to the negative would be the much-vaunted San Francisco to Los Angeles high-speed railway system.

In a press release from the US Dept. of Transportation (emphasis mine);

The entire San Francisco to Los Angeles project was initially supposed to be completed by 2020 and cost $33 billion. Today, the Merced-to-Bakersfield segment alone would cost more than the original total. The latest estimate for San Francisco to Los Angeles is $106 billion — more than three times the original cost estimate.

Well, Isn’t that something? If you found the tripling of the price tag as pretty amazing, wait ’til you hear this.

The reliably hard-core Leftie Newsweek magazine has sought to take on a viral social media post that’s hammering the Newsom Administration for supposedly dropping $11 billion on the Fresno River Viaduct section (a mere 1,600 feet) and taking a whopping nine-years to complete.

In a report from Tom Norton, the Newsweek ‘Fact Check’ reporter, his “fact checking” consisted of relying on a website of the California High Speed Rail Authority and also borrowing numbers from the USA Today “fact checkers.”

Here’s what Norton’s intrepid reporting uncovered (according to HIS sources);

  • The amount of $11 billion is incorrect. The correct total is “about” $2 billion.
  • The time frame of nine years is also incorrect. The actual time was “three years to build, not nine.”

Hmm… so a 1,600-foot bridge took three-years to build at a cost of $2 billion of taxpayer funds. How interesting.

I did a bit of fact checking myself. For whatever odd reason, Norton failed to take the next step in his “fact checking.” It turns out that the Fresno River Viaduct was built at the following averages;

  • $1.25 million spent per day.
  • 1.461-feet constructed per day.

Well over a million bucks per day to build a bridge less than 18-inches per day. Seriously… hold your hands roughly 18-inches apart, them imagine 18-inches of anything costing $1.25 million.

Six 1-kilo gold bars laid lengthwise is 18.9-inches. The cost of six kilos of gold – $650,000. That’s half the price of that damn bridge.

We sure are lucky that we have guys like Tom Norton over at Newsweek to give us real news, huh?
