VIDEO – 19-Year-Old Girl Faces LIFE for Saving Her Brother from being Beaten to Death

Two bad guys erased from the census, one seriously wounded.

Are you an old-fashioned kind of person who sees one of your siblings being beaten to death, you surmise that intervening with deadly force is warranted? Yeah, me too.

Are you an old-fashioned kind of person who considers the overwhelming majority of gun-control laws to be unconstitutional? Yeah, me too.

Are you an old-fashioned kind of person who believes that far too many local DAs prosecute the good guys, but are lax on the bad guys? Yeah, me too.

All three of the aforementioned questions have come together recently in the greater Detroit area. Specifically, as reported by Jeff Charles of TownHall.com, “Two siblings in Eastpointe, Michigan, are facing multiple charges related to a shooting near a Foot Locker store that occurred on May 3. The altercation left two people dead and one seriously injured.”

Hmm… just another case of inner-city gang culture rearing its ugly head? Nope, not in the least.

From what I’ve gathered from more than a few news stories on this particular shooting, I get the distinct impression that this is a case of a baby sis attempting to defend her big brother. Not only that, but a judiciary that’s WILDLY more concerned with the law over any actual justice.

But before I go any further, I’ll also opine that right after this incident, these two panicked. Of course, when people panic, they usually make a VERY stupid move.

Here are some of the specifics from the above cited article from Jeff Charles;

At around 2:50 p.m., Lakylia Taylor (19) and her brother Dejuan Taylor (21) arrived at the Foot Locker parking lot with some friends. After exiting the vehicle they began walking toward the store when they came across a Jeep Compass parked nearby. This vehicle contained another group of young men.

Tyjaune Pierre Morrs-Turner emerged from the Jeep with three others carrying a handgun and got into an argument with Dejuan. The verbal dispute soon turned physical, with the four men assaulting Dejuan and pinning him to the ground. Surveillance footage captured the confrontation.

As the four men beat Dejuan, Lakylia became frightened and returned to her vehicle and retrieved her brother’s pistol. She shot one of the individuals who had been on top of Dejuan before firing additional rounds at the other assailants.

Facing life in prison on bullshit charges.

But wait… there’s more;

After the shooting, Dejuan allegedly picked up one of the assailant’s firearms and magazines from the ground before the siblings ran back to their car and fled the scene.

Lakylia later turned herself in two days after the incident after her attorney consulted with law enforcement. Dejuan was arrested around the same time period, although reports do not specify the exact date he was taken into custody.

Lakylia could be facing life in prison while Dejuan could spend up to 20 years if convicted of all charges.

Here’s the specifics of what the Macomb County DA is pressing forward with the following charges against Lakylia;

  • Two counts of second-degree murder
  • Assault with intent to do great bodily harm
  • Two felony firearm counts for carrying and firing a gun during a felony
  • Carrying a concealed weapon without a license
  • Tampering with evidence

The following on Dejuan;

  • Firearm larceny for taking one of the assailant’s guns
  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Larceny for taking the magazines
  • Tampering with evidence

Fleeing the crime scene was stupid, but did anyone else notice charges against them for leaving the scene? Neither did I.

Just me, but if either of them were linked to any other crime (Dejuan being a gang-banger, etc.), I’d wager the DA would have added them, but there aren’t any.

I see this is just a case of two people standing up to four thugs… who got what they deserved.

In the below X.com posting, at the 30 second mark, Lakylia is seen in the upper-right screen coming to save her brother, shooting one of the assailants in the head. Taking a step or two, the assailant drops to the ground like a sack of wet cement.
