Ready at a minute’s notice, but this time with automatic weapons and artillery.
First it was changing the Department of Defense title to the Department of War, then came the demise of the fat serviceman. Never did I think that throwing out the trans-confused could ever be topped.
But topped they did. As it turns out, the Pentagon is ordering that each and every state and territorial National Guard unit to equip, train, and make ready their own ‘Minutemen’ ready for deployment at a moment’s notice, as reported by reporter Ellen Mitchell of TheHill.com.
As noted, the National Guard is looking to stand up a force of some 23,500 troops total “trained in crowd control and civil disturbance that can be ready to deploy to U.S. cities by early next year.”
While the larger and mid-populated states will be tasked with 500 Guardsmen for each of the specialized units, or in military parlance, the QFR (Quick Reaction Force), the lesser populated states and the US territories will be required with a lesser- numbered unit.
As reported by Patty Neiberg of TaskAndPurpose.com;
… most states will have 500 troops assigned to these units, except for those with smaller populations like Delaware, which will have 250 troops in its QRF, Alaska with 350, and Guam with 100 troops.
