Why I’m Looking Forward to a Mamdani Victory… Sort of

“Go ahead, bite the Big Apple. Don’t mind the maggots (shuh-doobee).” – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, 1978.

Even though I’ve never been a New Yorker, if I was, I know that Curtis Sliwa would be my choice to be the next resident of Gracie Mansion.

Sadly, I’m of the opinion that Curtis’ chance of winning are resting somewhere between a snowball and Hell.

The murderer of old folks will take second place, and the guy who embraces both Communism and Islamic Jihadism will win the race. Yeah, that sucks. I know.

Oddly enough, I’m kind of looking forward to a Zohran Mamdani in charge of New York City. Before you close out this post, just hear me out.

Shitbirds of a feather.

Not so much because I’m a firm believer in the old Russian(?) adage; “People deserve the leaders they get.”  More so because I’m looking forward to Trump taking over NYC.

As pretty much everyone already knows, Mamdani is promising everyone everything. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING.

This is where I cite a few examples of what Moneybags Mamdani is promising. As reported by TheTimes.com of London;

Mamdani’s policy proposals — and how much they could cost

  • Universal childcare for children aged six weeks to five years: up to $9.6 billion
  • Building 200,000 housing units in ten years: $100 billion
  • Free buses for more than a million daily users: at least $800 million a year
  • Community safety department: $1 billion
  • City-run grocery stores: up to $100 million
  • Eliminate tuition fees at the City University of New York: loss of $800 million in income
  • Minimum wage to $30 an hour
  • Total cost: up to $112.3 billion

Even with his plan to “tax the top 1%”, he optimistically hopes on pulling in $5 billion (at best). Of course, that leaves him $107,300,000,000 short. Golly gee, I can envision even the faintly well-off fleeing to anywhere-but-New York City.

You can almost feel the phoniness just oozing out of his pores.

As noted by CBCNY.org, “The fiscal year 2026 preliminary budget is short $3.6 billion needed to provide planned services…”

One doesn’t need a Ph.D. in economics to understand that NO financial institution is going to come within 1,000 miles of New York City with Mamdani at the helm. They undoubtedly have a mental picture of Mamdani literally shoveling cash into a furnace.

Regardless if Rep. Elise Stefanik (R) wins the governor’s race, or if Kathy Hochul pulls a miracle out of her ass (Read: “Steals the election“), Mamdani can forget about New York state ever pulling his chestnuts out of the fire.

Enter the only entity that the Grinning Communist that would ever entertain the notion of bailing him out — the Donald Trump Administration.

Just me, but if and when Trump does bail-out NYC, there’ll be so many provisions, Trump will end up being the figurative King of New York.

I’ll make the popcorn.
