An awful lot of my fellow conservatives are beside themselves over the possible news that this four-star turd Mark Milley has committed treason due to his alleged telling his Chinese Communist counter-part that he somehow has the authority to personally override a supposed Trump order to nuke China.
According to a report from the Associated Press (via KXTV, ABC affiliate of Sacramento, CA), bookmongers Bob Woodward and Robert Costa have penned in their book, “Peril“; (Emphasis mine)
Milley, according to the book, called the admiral overseeing the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, the military unit responsible for Asia and the Pacific region, and recommended postponing upcoming military exercises. He also asked senior officers to swear an “oath” that Milley had to be involved if Trump gave an order to launch nuclear weapons, according to the book.
But even as seen below, President Trump CLEARLY said **IF** all this is true;
Former President Donald Trump reacts to new reports about General Mark Milley: “If it is actually true…that’s treason.” https://t.co/VlT7z8drtO pic.twitter.com/1PY0ZjrmHW

First things first… President Trump is mistaken to believe that Milley (or anyone else at this moment in time) could be charged with treason.
Says who? The Constitution, that’s who. According to the same, treason can only be charged when the United States is officially in a **declared** war. America hasn’t been in a declared war since 1945.
Believe me, if all this is true, Milley could be charged with a number of violations regarding the UCMJ, but treason simply isn’t one of them.
With that aside, even IF Milley did what Woodward and Acosta say is true, then this stupid bastard Milley called the wrong guy.
The Commander of the Indo-Pac region (Admiral John C. Aquilino, US Navy) doesn’t control the nukes, the Commander of Strategic Forces does (Admiral Charles A. Richard).
Please take a look at the lower-right of the graph below. As clearly seen, the Combatant Commanders answer DIRECTLY to the Secretary of Defense, who of course, answers directly to the Commander-in-Chief.
Again, as clearly seen, the CJCS might be notified (at best) of what’s going on in the various Combatant Commands, but there simply is ZERO requirement that the CJCS gives approval. Period.
